Surveillance of injuries:

For injury surveillance, Koka City organizes the Injury Surveillance Committee consisting of representatives

of the relevant sections of the city government, police, Fire Department Office, and the hospital. The

Committee makes discussion based on the data which is collected and analyzed by the secretariat.

The results of the data analysis and discussion at the surveillance committee is provided to the taskforce

committees. Each taskforce committee make the good use of the information provided by the surveillance

committee for planning and assessment of the programs. In addition, those information is used to improve

the awareness of the efforts for safety promotion and its impacts to the citizens.
