Dear friends,

As you walked into church today, you probably saw that we removed the wood beams that were covering the space between Saint Joseph’s Hall and Presentation Hall. We have begun some of the work to transform our courtyard area “between the parking lots”.

In the next few weeks, I hope to communicate the final vision for how the courtyard space will look (things are not set in stone yet), and then a timeline for when we want to complete this phase of Harmony and Beauty. Some simple things that I want to accomplish include: making it obvious through the landscaping how one enters the church, having a more useable gathering space outside of our halls, and integrating the landscaping of the Saint Peregrine Shrine with the rest of the courtyard. Starting in July, our monthly second collection for the maintenance of buildings and properties will change its name to Harmony and Beauty. As I mentioned before, Harmony and Beauty succinctly describes the vision for all the work that we want to do here on our Christ the King campus. We want everything we do to be beautiful, and to fit together. I look forward to continuing the good work we have done inside our church, as it “overflows” into the courtyard. Thank you to everyone for all the ways you support the work of our parish, the work of our Lord, here at Christ the King.

In Christ, Pastor

Welcome Mireya Campos!

We would like to welcome to our Christ the King Staff Mireya Campos who is our new Facilitator of Ministry. Mireya is originally from Durango, Mexico, and has lived in the US most of her life. She is married and has two children, ages 7 and 3. She has volunteered and worked in other local parishes, and is excited for this new opportunity here at Christ the King.

As Facilitator of Ministry, Mireya will be working in many different areas. She is excited to work with couples in our marriage ministry. She will be helping with scheduling for our different ministries as well as coordinating the Safe Environment program. Please pray for Mireya as she begins this new work. She is excited to get involved in supporting the different ministries, and looks forward to meeting everyone here at Christ the King.

From our Pastor...

I will be, I will be, I will be strength for the journey. I will be, I will be, I will be strength for the journey. There is a road meant for you to travel. Narrow and steep is the Shepherd’s way. And as you say “yes,” letting me guide you, I will be strength for the journey. There is a cross meant for you to carry, There is a cross meant for you alone. And as you bow down in humble surrender, I will be strength for the journey. And how many times have you doubted my word? How many times must I call your name? And as you say, “yes,” letting Me love you, I will be strength for the journey.

Cf. Ps 28 (27): 8-9 The Lord is the strength of his people, a saving refuge for the one he has anointed. Save your people, Lord, and bless your heritage, and govern them for ever.

The Nicene Creed I believe in one God, the Father almighty, maker of heaven and earth, of all things visible and invisible.

I believe in one Lord Jesus Christ, the Only Begotten Son of God, born of the Father before all ages. God from God, Light from Light, true God from true God, begotten, not made, consubstantial with the Father;

through him all things were made. For us men and for our salvation he came down from heaven, and by the Holy Spirit was incarnate of the Virgin Mary, and became man. For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate, he suffered

death and was buried, and rose again on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures. He ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead and his kingdom will

have no end. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life, who proceeds from the Father and the Son, who with the Father and the Son is adored and glorified, who has spoken through the prophets.

I believe in one, holy, catholic and apostolic Church. I confess one Baptism for the forgiveness of sins and I look forward to the resurrection of the dead and the life of the world to come. Amen.

Lord, I come, I confess, bowing here I find my rest Without You I fall apart, You're the One that guides my heart

Lord, I need You, Oh, I need You, every hour I need You My one defense, my righteousness, Oh God, how I need You

Where sin runs deep Your grace is more Where grace is found is where You are And where You are, Lord, I am free Holiness is Christ in me

So, teach my song to rise to You When temptation comes my way And when I cannot stand I'll fall on You Jesus, You're my hope and stay

Ps 145 (144): 15 The eyes of all look to you, Lord, and you give them their food in due season.

Be still and know that He is God. Be still and know that He is holy. Be still Oh restless heart of mine, Bow before the prince of peace, Let the noise and clamor cease. Be still

Be still and know that He is God. Be still and know that He is faithful. Consider all that He has done, Stand in awe and be amazed And know that He will never change. Be still.

Be still and know that he is God. Be still and know that he is God. Be still and know that he is God. Be still. Be speechless..

Be still and know that He is God. Be still and know He is our Father. Come rest your head upon His chest. Listen to the rhythm of His unfailing heart of love Beating for His little ones calling each of us to come. Be still.

Take my life and let it be consecrated Lord to Thee. Take my moments and my days, let them flow in ceaseless praise. Take my hands and let them move at the impulse of Thy love. Take my feet and let them be swift and beautiful for Thee. Take my voice and let me sing always only for my King. Take my lips and let them be filled with messages from Thee. Take my silver and my gold, not a mite would I withhold. Take my intellect and use every power as You choose. Here am I, all of me. Take my life, it’s all for Thee. Take my will and make it Thine it shall be no longer mine. Take my heart it is Thine own, it shall be Thy royal throne. Take my love, my Lord, I pour at Your feet its treasure store. Take myself and I will be ever, only, all for Thee.
