Before Installation: Be sure to check that the lock and combination work correctly on the vault door before you begin installation.

1. The outside facing wall where the vault door is to be installed should be finished and ready for installation. Be sure wall is plumb for more accurate placement.

2. Use at least two people to maneuver the vault door into the prepared opening. Make sure face plate of vault door is tight against the wall and held in place.

3. Open the vault door and place braces underneath the bottom rail of the door for support and aid in keeping the base of the frame tight against the wall.

4. Check to see that the vault door is level and mark the anchor bolt position. Use the holes closest to the vault door for 8” wall thicknesses and for wall thicknesses greater than 8” use the second hole.

5. Secure the vault door on opposite sides of the opening with one anchor bolt each. Check with the level to make sure it is aligned. Continue adding additional anchor bolts until all ten are secured (4 on each side and two in the top). Plugs are supplied to place in the unused anchor bolt holes.
