Cleanliness Drive on 18th August 2018
Cleanliness is the act of keeping our body, mind, dress, home and
even our surrounding clean and neat. We should bring cleanliness
to our habits and remove dirt forever as it is the main cause for
many diseases.
To bring this cleanliness into action the students of 1year of “SAI
VIDYA INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY” actively participated in the
“CAMPAIGN”
The batches of 1year students were accompanied by 16 NSS
volunteers and the college staff. The college decided to work in two
places to promote cleanliness to its maximum.
The students were taken to the airport connected fly-over
(Devanahalli Highway). The students were instructed about their
safety measures and were provided with gloves and mask. Girls and
boys voluntarily took part in removing the unwanted plants and
thrown waste wrappers on the road. It lasted for about one and half
an hour. Few localities and Government school kids noticed our
work and were even inspired to help us clean. Though it was the
regular road that they daily took to their work, that day was a new
ceremony kind of feel to witnessed the cleaned and neat roadway
they daily travelled in.
So this “CLEANING CAMPAIGN” not only helped us in cleaning the
surrounding but also taught and importance of keeping our society,
mind and work place clean, because “Cleanliness Is Next To
Godliness”.
