THE SACRAMENT OF BAPTISM
Through Baptism, we become Children of God and
members of the household of faith. Children should be
baptized in the faith community to which their parents
belong, that is, the Parish in which they are registered
and active members. Call the rectory to make
arrangements. Parents are reminded that godparents
must have received the Sacrament of Confirmation and
are actively practicing their faith.

Dear Parishioner, It is hard to believe that we are in the second Sunday of Lent. If we look around us we can feel that the church has a different feel about it. There are no decorations such as flowers. The nature of the text and sound of the music and hymns are more somber. The readings of each Sunday portray some aspect of Christ’s mission on earth. Today the read-ings center around Christ’s Transfiguration. The words of the gospel speak about this “And He was transfigured before them and his clothes became dazzling white”. Lent gives us this opportunity to transfigure ourselves. Seek God’s help to see where we need help. The words of todays Responsorial Psalm sums up the result of that self examination. “I will walk before the Lord, in the land of the living”. Joe Wozniak Music Ministry
