during this time.

Monday, November 1st is All Saints Day.

This year it is not a Holy Day of Obligation.

All Souls day is November 2nd. All Souls envelopes are available in the racks at

each exit door. If you would like to have family members and friends remem-

bered during the month of November please place their names on an envelope

and place it in the offertory basket at the weekend Masses. These envelopes will

be placed on the altar through the month of November.

Dear Parishioners,

Who knew that we would still be dealing with Covid-19 twenty months after the

initial lockdowns? Certainly not me! If there are days when you feel a lot like

Job, hang in there! Job got through his sufferings and so shall we. Just think

how more virtuous we’re all becoming!

As we know, a “virtue” is a “good habit.” It’s not something we’re born with;

virtue is something we acquire through practice. None of us is born patient (Just

ask any parent!). But by trusting in God, we can become more patient by realiz-

ing that ultimately God IS in control. We got through two world wars, a stock

market crash and two Darrins on Bewitched! We’ll get through Covid as well!

Leading the way on how to thrive during Covid are our young people who contin-

ue to make a difference in our community by their acts of charity. From the

homeless to Respect Life, our students are making our little corner of the world a

little better. Let us learn from them.

Forgive someone today, even if they don’t “deserve” it. Love someone who isn’t

always “loveable.” Make a difference in the world through your kindness.

Keep safe.

Devotedly,

Fr. Michael Grady

PARISH INFORMATION

There are no tricks only treats in the PREP sessions. The treats are the happy moments the boys and girls in kindergar-ten through sacrament preparation have when learning about how much God loves us! The sessions are on Sundays from 10:15 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. Inquiries may be directed to the PREP Office 954-467-7749 or [email protected].

The RCIA is a journey in faith for adults who are considering the fullness of membership in the Catholic Church with reception of Baptism, Communion and/or Confirmation. The group gath-ers on Mondays at 7:00 p.m. Details are available by contacting the PREP Office 954-467-7749 or [email protected].

Why not take advantage of the longer evenings when daylight savings ends next week? Make time for family discussions. As Matthew Kelly reminds us "We give our time to who and what we love.

The Ministry of Altar Servers welcomes the following: Billy Burpee, Bryce Harkins, Luke Edgerly, Alyssa Blue, Max Sicher, Addison Vago, Stormy McClure, Emily Rios, Samantha Robinson, Max Weaver, Isabel Veiga, Valeria Yordan, Tommy Calabrese. Everyone is asked to remember these new servers and their fami-lies in their prayers.

Consider an opportunity! If you are considering helping in the parish, you may contact the Parish Office for details.

Eucharist Ministry to Sick and Homebound: Please contact the parish office for details.

SAINT ANTHONY MILITARY BOARD

Attention Parishioners: we're rebuilding our bulletin board to recognize Saint

Anthony parishioners who are currently serving in the United States Armed Services.

Send a picture of your loved one in uniform along with their rank, name,

service, and unit to Jim Carlson at [email protected]. We'll print out the picture

and information and add it to the bulletin board, which will be placed in the back of the

church, to ask for prayers to keep them and our nation safe.

SCHOOL NEWS

What’s Happening in 4-8 Arts Integration?

In their first quarter AI

classes, students learned

about Program Music,

Macro Photography, and

Dramatic Performance.

We have had a productive first quar-

ter in our St. Anthony Arts Integration

classes! Students began the year by

learning about Program Music’:

instrumental music that tells a story

or narrative. The students completed

a project in which they chose a piece

of instrumental music to ‘program’

themselves. Each group analyzed

elected piece, crafted a narrative to

pair with it, and created a visual art

piece to represent the music and story.

Students learned about the art

of Photography by taking Macro

Photographs. After choosing a

small object to photograph up

close, the students created a

background for their photo,

worked on different angles and

focus, and edited their final

product by adding filters and

adjusting contrast, brightness,

and color.

4th-8th Arts Integration Students are

currently studying Dramatic Perfor-

mance, learning about performance

elements such as demeanor, projection,

and eye contact. To show mastery of

these concepts, students are working in

groups to write original skits that

demonstrate positive and negative

emotions.
