TODAY!

….Our Grandmothers! Our

Godmothers!... …Mothers that had to go it alone! Mothers that had it hard! Mothers that sacrificed so that their children would have it better. Mothers that never gave up. Mothers that maybe made mistakes, but kept going.

Mothers that were always there for us (and still are!) as best they can. God take our Mothers that have passed from this life. Give them a hug from us. Mom… please keep your children in your prayer. Forgive us when we take you for granted or refuse to understand your decisions. Is your Mom still around? Call her if she’s far away (and plan to visit her soon)! She’s in the province? - Visit her today. Give her a hug and let her know that you love her… and this love will grow over time. Is she not here? Then tell your children or a friend or a stranger about her and why she was special and funny and great. Keep her memory in your heart and share it with others. It will serve as an inspiration to pray for her

and ask for her prayers. You know, when the Lord wanted to tell us in the Old Testament how much He loved us, He basically said that He loves us more than the greatest love around – that of a Mother for her child. He said that even if a mother could forget her child (i.e. basically impossible), He would still not forget us! (Isaiah 49:15).

This WEEK INTENTION OFFERED BY For the parishioners who are in care homes, hospitals and for all parishioners.

A Sanctuary Light burns perpetually to indicate the presence of Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament in the Tabernacle. It is a marvellous thing that we can actually be in the presence.

We will start with potato peeling Monday at 6:00 pm on May 22.
