HALIFAX
In Halifax, Nova Scotia, there’s no compromise. It’s the big city, with small-town charm. It’s vibrant urban energy with a laidback ocean playground. It’s a cool city in the province with the warmest year-round weather.* It’s cafés, galleries, shopping, and live music with surfing, hiking, ice skating, kayaking, and beaches all just minutes away. It’s Atlantic Canada’s centre of innovation and commerce, right at the edge of the Atlantic Ocean, and the Saint Mary’s University campus is a short walk from it all. Is it the perfect city? For you, it probably is.

Be in demand
The majority of North America’s CEOs began their climb to the top with a Bachelor of Arts degree (B.A.). Given that most people change careers three times during their life, a B.A. gives you the breadth of knowledge, adaptability, and employability that can take you anywhere. A Bachelor of Arts from Saint Mary’s sets you apart from the crowd in important ways.
Home to an expansive offering of Humanities and Social Science majors, Saint Mary’s is the only university in Atlantic Canada to offer a co-op option in every single Arts major. Our Arts professors are noted leaders in innovative research, with a cutting-edge approach to learning. We offer Arts students opportunities to study and gain experience abroad. Saint Mary’s is the right choice for obtaining the academic and experiential foundation to move directly into a career – or on to graduate and professional programs.
At Saint Mary’s, you are never alone on your journey. B.A. advisors in the Faculty of Arts will work with you to customize your degree to best meet your career and educational goals. If you’re unsure of your goals, advisors and other student services will help you find your focus.
A Bachelor of Arts degree will prepare you for lifelong success.

SOBEY SCHOOL OF BUSINESS
The Sobey School of Business is the largest business school in Atlantic Canada, and it holds the coveted AACSB accreditation, bestowed on fewer than 5% of the world’s 13,000 business programs.
The many successes of our students and alumni prove that the Saint Mary’s business program provides students with rigorous business knowledge, not to mention a head start on a career. Which means you can graduate ready to make a difference in the world.
With a focus on responsible business, community partnerships, and real-world learning, the Sobey School of Business at Saint Mary’s will help you develop an entrepreneurial spirit, an ability to solve problems, and a desire to think creatively. Here, your learning extends beyond the classroom. Through co-op work placements, travel and exchanges, and by working in culturally diverse teams, you will develop leadership skills, global perspectives, and the ability to integrate environmental, ethical, and economic considerations into your decision making. Plus, our professors actively conduct research on a regional, national, and international basis, and bring that knowledge back to the classroom.
