Calling Volunteers for Life

Our group, the Bradford County Pennsylvanians for Human

Life, is recruiting volunteers to man the booth at the Troy

Fair from Monday July 27 until Saturday August 1st, in two

hour increments. Might you consider spending a few hours

manning the booth? No special knowledge is required. Our

display has sentiments like: “Defending human life from

conception to death;” “You formed my inmost being; You

knit me in my mother’s womb. I praise You, so wonderful-

ly you made me;” and “Life—the First Human Right.” Our

volunteers have told us that it is a very positive experience

and it is fun!

Our volunteer coordinators for the Troy Fair are:

John and Mary Alice Demangone, [email protected], or

phone 570-265-5990. Contact them for your time slot at the

Fair!

Word of Life

“For the Lord, your God, is the God of gods, the Lord of

lords, the great God, mighty and awesome, who has no

favorites, accepts no bribes, who executes justice for the

orphan and the widow, and loves the resident alien, giving

them food and clothing.” ~ Deuteronomy 10:17-18

Vacation Bible School (VBS) – Camp Discovery A summer Ecumenical Vacation Bible School

will again be held at St. Agnes School, JFK Hall, during

the week of July 12-16, 2015, Sunday evening through

Thursday evening from 6-8 pm. This year’s theme is

“Camp Discovery.”

Children grades Pre-school through 7th can come

to enjoy Bible stories, crafts, songs, food, activities and

friendship while discovering how to serve God and others.

Mark your calendars and save the date

Registration materials are in the rear of the

church—one form is needed per family. Pre-registration

is preferred, but registration can also take place the first

day of VBS.

Principal for St. Agnes School

The retirement of Mrs. Sandra Kasenga, leaves the po-

sition of St. Agnes School Principal open at this time.

Bradford County Regional Arts Council (BCRAC)

BCRAC is introducing a series of faith-friendly

films to the community. The film series will be presented

monthly Wednesday and Saturday at the Keystone theatre.

The July film Freetown "PG-13" (1 hr 53 mins) will be

shown Wednesday July 22, 2015 at 7 pm and Saturday

July 25, 2015 at 1:30 pm. A group of native Liberian mis-

sionaries make a desperate cross-country trip through their

war-torn country to save one of their own. Starring: Henry

Adofo, Michael Attram, Alphonse Menyo.

Check the local newspaper each month for the film

and for times and dates for these films. We will try to pub-

lish information in the bulletin about them as they appear

in the paper each month.

It might be good to support this effort to bring

films of formation into the local theater.

Peter’s Pence envelopes are in the back of the church; for

donation credit, please write your name or envelope num-
