Axiologa
Axiologa was the name of the newsletter published by the Saint Sophia Orthodox Community in the seventies.
An explanation of the word Axiologa: Axiology (from Greek ἀξίᾱ, axiā, "value, worth"; and -λόγος, -logos, “reason” in Greek philosophy) is the study of value. It is the foundation for the philosophical fields that depend crucially on notions of worth. Axiology studies mainly two kinds of values: ethics and aesthetics. Ethics investigates the concepts of "right" and "good" in individual and social conduct. Aesthetics studies the concepts of "beauty" and "harmony." Axiologa then, is that which is worth mentioning and talking about, and that is what the “bulletin” or “communiqué” is all about.

DINNER BUFFET, LECTURE, DISCUSSION AND GUIDED MEDITATION WITH
THE PRAYER OF THE HEART
How can the experience of Inner Peace and Love of Orthodox Spirituality can be scientifically described? How can science, while retaining its objectivity and present day success, accept the inner realms? This is a true dialogue between the two great systems of human experience Science and Spirituality.
This lecture explores the nature of time and how it binds us and limits us, but when we understand its true nature, how it can free us from our own limitations. Includes practical exercises in awareness and inner stillness to bring the reality of the objectified Laws to our everyday lives, as tools of further
spiritual development and inner peace.
Spiritual, emotional and mental well-being can be achieved through guided meditation with The Prayer of the Heart that will also result in relaxation, improving your focus and reducing stress, more important though it can lead to an understanding of the Union with the Lord. This triadic path to physical, mental and spiritual wellness involves meditation, prayer, and group exercises that support and maintain your inner well-being.
Future Workshop Date: Lecture 4: May 11, 2016
