Letter from the Pastor
Dear Parishioners,
At the conclusion of today’s Gospel we hear Jesus say: “Whoever believes in me will do the works that I do, and will do greater ones than these.” This saying of Jesus is a call to service. It is a reminder to us that we are called in this Easter season to renew our com-mitment to walk in the footsteps of Jesus and to love one another as he has loved us.
On this Mother’s Day our young people are taking up the charge of today’s Gospel as they collect nursery items for mothers and infants in need. It is a small gesture with far reaching implications for the expectant mothers who will receive these items. To be a truly pro-life community means that we stand ready to help every new mother and infant through prayer and charity.
Even though we are five weeks into Easter, the season is filled with the excitement and joy that we felt at the Easter Vigil and on Easter Sunday Morning. As the season moves towards the Ascension and Pentecost we continue to grow in the joy and love of the God who has set us free from the darkness of sin and called us into the warmth of the light of his love.
Happy Mother’s Day!
With Love,
Fr. Sam

Half of the funds we collect remains in our diocese to support local efforts. Be a part of this campaign to spread the gospel message and support the collec-tion today! After an overwhelming response we are beginning to plan our St. Therese 2017 Feast!
A large amount of volunteers and time is required to carry out this ambitious event each year. Behind these volunteers is a core Feast Committee who dedicate their time and talent to help make our feast a huge success for all.
The Feast Committee is responsible for the planning, preparation and running of the annual St. Therese Feast, which could serve as one of the largest fundraisers for the Parish.
This year we are opening up 6 new committee spots and will welcome new members.
Committee members should be capable of volunteering and willing to commit to attend monthly Feast meetings as well as be available for the entire weekend of August 25th. We are also in need of someone with Marketing, PR and/or Social Media skills to help work with the committee.
If you are interested in becoming a Feast Committee Member or help with marketing, please contact Gina Marie at 201-567-2528 or [email protected]
Note: At a later date we will begin to recruit for our regular feast volunteers to help on the actual weekend!
Thank you.
