Catholic Home Missions

Home missions are those dioceses in the United

States, its territories, and its former territories, that

cannot provide basic pastoral services to Catholics

without outside help. Basic pastoral services

include Mass and other sacraments, religious edu-

cation, and ministry training for: priests, deacons,

religious sisters, and lay people. Right now, over

40% of dioceses are considered home missions.

Please consider a generous donation to

next week’s collection for those needs. Infor-

mation sheets and envelopes are in the rear of the

church; remember to mark your name, or boxed

envelope number, on it for contribution credit.

A Big Thank You!

Many thanks and much appreciation are extended to all

who have made this Easter celebration a most joyful and

holy one by their offering of their time and talent: Music

Ministry, Lectors, Eucharistic Ministers, Altar Servers,

Ushers, Liturgy planners, those decorating the church,

and those cleaning the Church.

Welcome and Congratulations!

At the Easter Vigil, April 20, 2019, we welcomed Cara

Marie Ives and Nick Maghamez who joined the Catholic

Church, and received the Sacraments of the Holy Eucha-

rist and Confirmation. The parish of Saints Peter and

Paul congratulates you and will continue to offer our

prayers and support for you and your families. May God

continue to enrich you each and every day of your lives.

Baptism Congratulations! Congratulations are extended to Gabriel and Sylvia

Rodriguez upon the birth—April 16, 2019, and then the

Baptism—April 21, 2019, of their son, Sergio Armando

Rodriguez. Our prayers and best wishes go to the

Rodriguez and Rabago families on this happy occasion.

Happy Easter!

For the forty days of Lent we have reorganized our priorities and have taken

the time to intensify our prayer, separated ourselves from cravings and embraced

things more lasting, and worked at being more selfless.

Today, and for at least the next fifty days, we celebrate the salvation which

Christ has won for us and the faith we share with one another in Christ Jesus.

Easter provides us with Hope and Thanksgiving, with Joy and New Life,

with the Gift of the Holy Spirit, and with the confidence of knowing that we are a

part of God’s family in Christ Jesus.

May God continue to enrich our lives and to provide us with the gifts to

celebrate His Resurrection each and every day.
