Kansas Department of Commerce Job Training program support

The Kansas Department of Commerce provides funding to support training and retraining that improves the productivity of Salina’s workforce. There have been 25 different projects involving 17 different firms that contracted with the Kansas Department of Commerce for job training.

The information in the table above does not include participants in the IMPACT program for projects that involve at least 100 jobs. Between 2007 and 2012, 1,580 Salina and Saline County employees with an average wage level of $12.18 received retraining. The State of Kansas funds awarded for the IMPACT projects totaled $1,275,000. State of Kansas support for job training of Salina and Saline County employers has totaled $1,694,587 since 2007.
