Baggage Screening. The system facilitates 3-level baggage control. At the first level computer-based equipment automatically detects, if prohibited articles or substances are hidden in baggage. Detecting a bag with the potentially prohibited article or substance, bag’s X-ray picture with a highlighted suspicious sector is transmitted to the second level monitors for aviation security operator’s inspection.

Baggage Screening. Operator has to decide either to move baggage apart from conveyor, if it is dangerous or suspicious, or to let it reach baggage collection premises. If operator decides that baggage requires additional control, bag and its X-ray picture is delivered to the third level for a separate screening. If suspicions still remain, operator makes a decision to open and inspect bag’s content in its owner’s presence.
