I could not believe it; I had only just arrived! I thought to myself: this can’t be happening! 9

It was watching me, it was aware of me….10 11 12

….and, it knew I was there. 13

I stood there, somewhat in a state of disbelief, while my hosts spoke with the gardener, who had just finished

his work. I did not know what to say, or to do; I was horribly aware of the…thing…in the woods, and it seemed

to be standing quietly and perfectly motionless, watching us intently. 14 15 16

I was not frightened, but I did not know what to do. After a few minutes, we entered the house. Later that

evening, I stepped out the back door, and looked towards the woods.

Everything was silent and peaceful; there was not a sound of anything, anywhere. 17

Wait….

I listened carefully, cupping my hands to my ears. I heard a soft, muffled sound of footsteps; 18 19 something was

pacing back and forth, first to the right, and then back again, to the left. 20 I heard it walking, very quietly; it

was becoming quite dark, and I made no direct observation. It seemed to press lightly on the leaves, crushing

them faintly; nonetheless, I heard the noise clearly.

My host came outside, and joined me.

“Sanjay, what are you doing out here?”

“Well,” I said, with some embarrassment, “I’m hearing something moving; there is a sound of footsteps.” 21

My host listened with me, and then said, “It could be a deer.”

“Yes,” I agreed, “But, would a deer walk back and forth? Wouldn’t it just stand still, or run?”

“Good point,” my host agreed; we then returned to the house for the evening.

The following day, Wednesday 23 November, was quite busy; we spent the day visiting nearby sites, including

the Old Sautee Store,22 the town of Helen,23 and the Nacoochee Burial Mound.24 We returned home late in the

afternoon; the light was just beginning to fade. I stepped out the back door, to look at the woods; again, I heard

a sound of movement, of something pacing back and forth, stepping softly through the leaves.25 26 Again, I

made no direct, visual observation.

Later that evening, about 0900pm, I took the family dog out for his last walk of the night; as I opened the back

door, I looked towards the woods; the night was completely black. In the darkness, I heard the sound of

footsteps, quite loud and rapid, walking quickly away! 27 28

Left, right, left, right, left right; I counted six footsteps, and then they stopped. 29

Hot diggity dog!

I quickly pulled out my small torch; the beam shone brightly, and then went out. 30

“You’ve got to be kidding me!” I exclaimed!

I peered into the blackness; where the footsteps had stopped, I observed several small, brilliant orbs, in many

different colours of white, gold, and red, flickering on and off before disappearing completely.31

My host came out, and asked, “Sanjay, what’s going on?”

I told him, quickly; he hurriedly fetched a new battery for the torch, and I switched it back on.

“The batteries don’t last very long,” he said, “Have you used it a lot?”

“No,” I said, rather puzzled. 32

I slowly scanned the woods with the torch, looking for signs of movement. Where I had observed the small,

brilliant orbs of light, I observed a strange object, a curious triangular shape, with a golden-white colour, which

then disappeared.33 34

“Do you see that?” I asked my host.

“No,” he said, “What was it?”

I attempted to describe it to him; the night was horribly, eerily silent….35

Snap!

From the left, we both heard a loud, sudden, snapping sound, as though a branch had been snapped in two! 36

“Did you hear that?” I asked my host.

“Yes,” he said. “What do you think it was?”

“Well,” I said, “My first reaction is that it felt…deliberate…as if to take our attention away from the other side

of the garden. It was all the way to the left, if you noticed.” 37 38

“Yes,” agreed my host, “Say, where’s the dog?”

The dog had disappeared; we did not see him anywhere.

32 For the purposes of this Report, it should be noted that the torch had been a gift from my host; I appreciated it, very much! 33 Sanjay R Singhal. Field Report 04.13.2013: Crab Orchard. Beyond The Forest.

“I’m going out the front to look for him,” my host said, “He needs to get inside.”

I quickly ran down the back steps; I approached the shed, and found the dog.39 He was running back and forth,

running in circles; he would not heed me.40 Behind the shed, the woods reared up black and impenetrable; I

was suddenly, horribly, afraid.41

Something was watching me.42

I made no direct, visual observation; nonetheless, as I stood there, frantically trying to corral the dog, a great,

overwhelming fear rose within me, and I felt only one effect: to leave as quickly as possible.43 44

Nonetheless, I was determined not to panic; I focussed on the dog. With some effort, I was able to grip his

collar, and lead him back to the house; he continued to act strangely, running back and forth across the grass,

but we returned indoors, eventually.45 My host came back in from the front garden, and we remained indoors

for the rest of the evening.

The following day, I assisted my hostess with preparations for Thanksgiving dinner,46 but later in the morning, I

ventured out to the back garden; I wanted to investigate the woods behind the house. I did not expect to

find…what I found…within the edge of the trees, approximately twenty yards (20yd, or 18.288m), I observed a

dark, round construction of thick, woven branches and limbs.

There was a nest, in the brush, looking towards the back garden.

I entered the woods, cautiously; the ground cover was thick with trailing, thorny vines and creepers, which tore

at my trousers and stuck me dreadfully.47 As I approached the nest, I observed several snapped-off saplings, at

approximately twelve to eighteen inches (12-18in, or 30.48-45.72cm); they were all in the same direction,

roughly north/northwest. 48

39 For the purposes of this Report, it should be noted that the shed is to the right of the back door, as one looks out, and therefore was

extremely close to…whatever…had made the loud footsteps. 40 Eric Lester. Possible Howl heard from Baugo Creek area in Osceola. Bigfoot Field Researchers’ Organisation.

The first photograph presents a view of the nest assembly, as viewed from the back door of my hosts’ house; the

second photograph presents a view looking from the edge of the woods, from the direction of the nest assembly.

The neighbours’ house is on the right, with the swimming pool in front; the children’s play-set is to the left.

These photographs present views of the nest assembly, as I attempted to access it in the heavy, thick brush and

numerous, trailing thorny vines. Although the ground appears somewhat clear, in both images, it was nearly

impassable; I had a great deal of difficulty in reaching the nest. The dog, however, had no problems at all! 49

I looked at the ground carefully, but did not observe any clear, visible footprints and/or depressions to indicate

passage of a large animal or other creature; nonetheless, the size of the nest suggested something of

considerable size had fashioned it. 50 51 Within the nest, I observed a pile of leaves suggestive of a bedding

area, as though something had lain or sheltered there. It was extremely difficult for me to access it.52

49 The appropriate inference may be readily made; contrary to popular belief, I am not a hairy, ape-like creature. 50 Ibid, Singhal. Field Report 08.25.2012: Area R (with Addendum). Beyond The Forest.

These photographs present views of the snapped-off saplings observed near the nest assembly; notice the

common height, approximately twelve to eighteen inches above the ground, and in the same direction.

The first photograph presents a close-up view of the nest assembly; notice the heavy, thick ground cover and

thick, thorny vines, which prevented me from getting closer. The second photograph presents the view from the

nest assembly, looking directly (and clearly) towards the neighbour’s house.

There were numerous, trailing vines with long, sharp thorns and I did not like being pricked everywhere.53

I stood up, and turned around, looking out through the woods in the direction of the nest’s opening: I was

looking directly at the neighbour’s yard, approximately one hundred yards (100yd, or 91.44m) to the southwest,

with a clear view of the drive, and the children’s playset. My view of the playset was clear, and unimpeded;

anyone…or anything…could observe it, unseen.

I also observed several curious, possible branch assemblies nearby, but they presented only minimal evidence of

interweaving and/or multiplicity of branch component species, textures, and/or bark colour.54

53 Ibid, Carey. Common or Roundleaf Greenbrier (Smilax rotundifolia). 54 As defined by Sanjay R Singhal, the four (4) features which define a branch assembly are as follows: clear, present interweaving of

components; multiplicity of component species; multiplicity of component sizes; and visually contrasting component species colours,

bark, and textures. To this may be added the application of long, slender components supporting large, heavier ones, and/or the

stripping of leaves and twigs from the components, although these are not always observed.

These photographs present views of the solitary Black Cherry, which I stopped to admire, and which, I realised,

was growing out of a possible burial mound; I observed several small, round rocks beneath the leaves.

I came upon a solitary Black Cherry (Prunus serotina) 55 in the woods, and stopped to admire it; its trunk was

remarkably straight and tall, a beautiful specimen. I glanced at its base, and stopped, suddenly.

It was growing out of a burial mound.

For a moment, I thought I was mistaken; there could not possibly be an artificial mound here! 56 57 58

I walked around it, carefully pacing off my steps: twelve north to south, four east to west. A long, somewhat

ovoid mound,59 with many small, round rocks (albeit covered with leaves), upon which a tree had grown.60 I

took several photographs for later review, and then returned to the house for Thanksgiving dinner.

Respectfully submitted,

Sanjay R Singhal, RA

FIELD REPORT 11.24.2016

SUMMARY

Substantiation of this Report may be provided, to some extent, by reports published on the BFRO website, not

only for Habersham County, but also for adjacent White County.61 62 Additional reports have been published

for Rabun County,63 Stephens County,64 and Hall County,65 also adjacent to Habersham County. Additional

accounts have been located across social media, suggesting a considerable level of activity.66 Further research

and enquiry at this location may provide important, new information regarding EC habituation and/or migration.

The combination of physical, visual, audible and/or olfactory events described in this Report are as follows:

1. The unusual silence in the woods;

2. The sound of soft, muffled footsteps, pacing back and forth;

3. The sound of loud, heavy footsteps, walking rapidly away from the house;

4. The observation of several small, brilliantly coloured orbs, which appeared and disappeared;

5. The curiously malfunctioning torch;

6. The observation of a curious, triangular shape, coloured golden-white;

7. The continued, eerie, almost overwhelming silence;

8. The sudden, loud snapping sound, heard to the left in the woods;

9. The dog’s strange behaviour;

10. The nest assembly, observed in the woods;

11. The numerous, snapped-off saplings observed nearby;

12. The alignment of the nest assembly with the neighbour’s yard;

13. The possible branch assemblies, observed nearby.

These behaviours, and the history of my own experiences, may be considered sufficient to suggest the presence

of EC 67 in Habersham County, in the autumn of 2016.

A number of subjective events also occurred. While these cannot be considered conclusive evidence of EC,

neither should they be discounted. Although it is reasonable to review the impact of non-objective stimuli in this

Report, such effects, while personally quite vivid and at times overwhelming, are nonetheless nearly impossible

to substantiate with any measure of certainty.
