Greetings from the East
I want to thank you again for your support as we,
the officers of your lodge, continue to grow in our
newly elected and appointed positions. We strive to
do our best as we discover further light.
Brothers, please check your wallets to ensure you
have your 2013 dues cards. With all the activity of the past two months it might be possible that you
missed your dues notice or even misplaced it. Let it
be known that without your current dues card you could and will be excluded from Masonic activi-
ties.
I am happy to inform the Craft that we now have
five new brothers on the side line. Brothers Anwar F. Ajib, Trent L. Dimond, Shawn R. Doolittle,
Peter A. Fazio, and Petar Sibinkic have been raised
to the Sublime Degree of Master Mason. Make sure to welcome these newly raised brothers when
you see them next and let’s not forget to thank
R:.W:. Gerry Goacher for the time he has dedicated as their Catechism Instructor. Br. Joscelito Da
Silva was raised as a courtesy to Phoenix Lodge
No. 346 that wonderful day also. Congratulations
Brothers all on achieving that special milestone in your
Masonic history.
I want to ask the craft that any entries for the Trestle-
board or idea he may wish to share, send them to us no later than the 15th of the month for inclusion in the
following month’s communication. Also, look to the
calendar for important dates on upcoming events.
I do want to make mention that our Br. Secretary
R:.W:. Bill Burris has been ill this past month. Let us
show our support for this wonderful Brother who has
been so good to the lodge. Please, if you can, show
your support in any manner that you are able. Be it a phone call, a card, an email, a visit or just a moment to
say a prayer. We look forward to seeing R:.W:.Bill
back in lodge with that wonderful smile and heartfelt
laugh. We miss you R:.W:.! Get Well Soon!!!
Fraternally,
Br. Juan de la Rosa

Greetings from the West
My Brothers,
I extend my sincere appreciation to all the brothers and their families for attending our installa-
tion of officers. Not only was the event well attended but fellowship was had by all. A hearty
thank you to all the brothers, especially the Widow’s Sons, for participating in the Master Ma-
son degree; without you, this degree would not have been possible.
At our first stated meeting the Worshipful Master presented the lodge budget for 2013 which
was voted and passed by the craft. Given there was much deliberation, lodge committees for
2013 were not discussed, therefore there is still time for any brother to volunteer his services for any committee for the good of the
order. With that said Brothers, we are also looking for a few good men! No, we’re not recruiting for the Marine Corps., but rather
some Brothers within the craft to mentor newly initiated brothers. This month we will be balloting on a few petitions, which means
the following month we could be initiating some well recommended men. If you are interested, please see our Lodge Instructor,
R:.W:.Jerry Goacher or either of the Wardens.
Fraternally,
Damian Ostermeyer
Senior Warden

IN FELLOWSHIP My foot to thy foot, however thy foot may stray, Thy path for my path, however dark the way. My knee to thy knee, whatever be
thy prayer; Thy plea my plea, in every need and care. My breast to thy breast, in every doubt or hope; Thy silence mine too,
whatever thy secret's scope. My strength is thy strength, whenever thou shalt call; Strong arms stretch love's length, through
darkness, toward thy fall! My words shall follow thee, kindly warning, fond, Through life, through drear death-and all that lies
beyond

There are parts of a ship which taken by themselves would sink. The engine would sink. The propeller would sink. But when the
parts of a ship are built together, they float. So with the events of my life. Some have been tragic. Some have been happy. But
when they are built together, they form a craft that floats and is going places. And I am comforted. -Ralph W. Sockman

action in your community…men who are endeavoring to be better citizens…

Living Past Masters
Greetings from the South
February is upon us and love is in the air with Valentine’s on the 14th. It’s another
opportunity to remind all brothers that they are welcome to join us at lodge and will
receive the fellowship and brotherly love we have all been raised with.
Our Stewards will have meals prepared before each meeting for your enjoyment. For
our first meeting on the 12th, they will be making chili with beans, fries, and salad.
For our second meeting on the 26th, they will have a pasta dish prepared. For those
who don’t know, one of our nation’s founding fathers and well known Masons,
George Washington, has a birthday on February 22nd. In honor of the story of
George and the cherry tree, we will have a cherry-related dessert as well. Don’t miss
out on the good food our Stewards are making!
At our February 12th meeting, our Masonic sponsored youth at the new Sarasota
Chapter of the Order of DeMolay will have a representative there to tell us about the
Order of DeMolay, its national history, a little history about the original Sarasota
chapter, and what the boys are up to and how we, as the sponsoring home lodge, can
help continue to raise good young men into bright new Masons. The chapter current-
ly meets at Sarasota Lodge on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday at 7:30pm. All Master Masons
are welcome to attend.
As always, the Master Mason Association will meet on the 4th Thursday. This time,
it will be at Englewood Lodge #360 starting at 6:45pm. All Master Masons are wel-
come to attend to get together and learn what is going on within our district.
