Computer Engineering Department had organized an interactive session on Project Ideasand Current Trend in Industry for the CO final year students on 8th July 2016 initiated bySCET Alumni Association under the banner of “Share What I Gain”.

The purpose of the interaction was to facilitate a talk between alumni and our present finalyear students in order to gain information regarding state-of-art practices in softwareindustry and to inspire them to achieve higher aims in their career. Around 60 students ofB.E.-IV Computer Engineering had attended this session.

About the Alumni:

The invited alumnus for this session was Mr. Ashwin Savani (2001 alumnus, CO Deptt),who is a founder of Avinashi company at Surat. He has 10 years of experience in thesoftware industry.

Highlights of the interaction:

• Mr. Ashwin Savani shared his knowledge with the final year students regardingproject topic selection and how to formulate team to make the project worth fromthe industry perspective in order to make successful career.

• He also discussed how effectively team work must be carried out to makeinnovative projects on recent trends using latest technologies.

• Furthermore, he discussed how recruitment process is carried out by the HRdepartment of the IT industries.

• He also throw light on how to prepare effective resume in order to increase thechances of selection one step further in today’s competitive environment.
