delivered a lecture titled “Re-Search the Soul” to the audience consisting of
scientists, scholars and students.
Madiha is doing several courses online from NovoEd and Udemy to equip her
to lead effectively in her mission for a Peaceful World while being trained in
Gosoku-Ryu from International Gosoku-Ryu Karate-Do association to be fit to
fulfil her dreams. She is selected as a Finalist for the Woman of Dignity
International Award 2018 in Surat.
The session started with the SCET TED team conducting an activity where a
form was shared with the audience and they were asked to write down their
childhood dream of what they wanted to be and what they are currently doing.
This was a houseful session with students from various departments and years
joining the Talk. Further, the hosts gave brief information about TED and its
motto, along with a brief introduction about SCET TED club.
“No Makeup or Dress can make someone look more beautiful than a
woman who wears confidence and dignity.”
-Komal Pungalia
This is how Ms. Madiha Ahmed, who chose to be the woman of her dreams 2
years ago, was welcomed by the hosts. She started her talk with an ice
breaking session with the audience. Further, Madiha Ahmed talked about how
financial independence made her realize the value of her voice because she did
not demand and instead contributed to the family. She shared her experiences
where she had been rejected but then, she used those opportunities to “say
yes to herself” and started living the journey of being the woman of her
dreams.
She talked about financial independence, choices we make in life and how the
correct choices have finally lead her to be what she wanted.
She carried out an activity named
PSPA, where she asked the students to
write about their Passion, Skills,
Problem they want to solve and
Activities that can be done. Students
performed the activity in pairs. She
was amazed by the thoughtful answers
given by students. Further, she asked
them to draw or write whatever comes
in their mind when they hear the word “Freedom”. Students came up with
very interesting and innovative ways to describe it.
During the interactive session, when a
student said “I can be a good leader”,
Madiha corrected him and told
students that how important it is to
believe in ourselves and asked that
student to say “I am “ instead of “ I
can” . This is how Madiha filled the
environment with positivity and
inspired students.
She told students how important it is
to have a mentor in life and that even
she has some mentors. She ended her talk by telling about an activity FISHES,
which will help students to identify their important goals and work on them.
The event ended with Prof. Mayank Dalal presenting
memento to Ms. Madiha Ahmed and thanking her
for her inspiring talk with students and further
motivated students to be a regular part of upcoming
talks.
The event was successfully carried out by enthusiastic members of SCET TED
club.
