PrefaceIn this competitive world a student must be equipped well. He has very less time to build his career. 'The chance', I would name to the SAT. It decides your path, it decides your life, it reflects your potential, it directs the way, and more than this it secures your future. This is the SAT, Scholastic Aptitude test. There are many more tests but the SAT is considered one of the most researched test so has the maximum acceptance. It is given by more than 2 million students every year. What does the SAT tests? This question has multiple answers. Below some of the critical answers are given. It measures developed reasoning. It measures the student's ability to work in pressurized environment. It predicts subject skills more than that it is predicator of performance in the college. It reveals a student's content skill or personal knowledge and performance ability. It is tightly timed. When I realized the importance of the SAT, I thought what can be made to raise students' ability. The structure of the SAT is divided in three sections; critical reading, maths, and writing. 2400 marks in 200 minutes, the major flaw is it is hard to finish. What is required? The binding of the book is different. I don't claim it would be astonishing or any miracle would happen. Hard work is the only option. The SAT requires quickness to answer the questions, in limited time. It expects you to be exact in choosing the answer. It checks your decision power. The very important thing is comprehensive ability with writing ability.During the concept formulating I followed the above given principles. In a way this book gives through practice of each section. It is easy to answers but hard to get the explanation of the answers. The students will be privileged in this book with the expert s' explanation. This is one of the strongest point of the book. To achieve exactness and independency self analyzing formula is very essential. Here you will get it. No need to search the expert for analysis for your progress. The given format is self-reliant. Check the score check the format, and get the analysis.During the process of this compilation I realized the psychology of the test. To get high score students need thorough information, material of the exam, guidance during study, a lot of practice, and yeah! Confidence that we get from the result. TestMentor's Math books are the execution of the given principles. It comprises practice tests of each section in Maths. It has focused equally on every section of math. The book doesn't carry the author's impression, it is made independent. Self analyzing part, multiple practice tests, experts' solutions, and much more you can find here. The book is an attempt to derive potential from students 4. Evaluation of Score:SAT scores are based on a student's percentile relative to other students taking the same test. Scoring of SAT test is done in two ways: raw and scaled. The raw score is a tabulation of questions answered correctly or incorrectly. Students are encouraged not to leave answers blank because they are not penalized for wrong or blank answers in a student-produced answer section. Students receive 1 point for a correct answer and have 1/4 point deducted for wrong answers in multiple-choices questions only. The amount of points is deducted depends on how many options there are for that particular question. The more options are there, the smaller the fraction of a point is deducted. Students are not penalized for wrong answers on other types of questions. Questions left unanswered do not affect raw scores. The scaled score normalizes for different forms of the test taken by different students at different times. Students receive test scores by mail within 3 to 6 weeks of taking the test. They are given their raw score as well as their percentile that ranks how many other test-givers got a lower score. For example, scoring in the 90th percentile means that student scored higher than 90 percent of everyone else. How to Calculate the Score?Step 1:Your raw scores are calculated for each section based on the number of questions you got correct or incorrect, or that you omitted. +1 point for questions you get correct -1/4 point subtracted for incorrect multiple-choice 0 points subtracted for incorrect student-produced response (math section) 0 points subtracted for questions you don't answerStep 2:Step 3:Your raw score is then converted into a scaled score (reported on a 200-800 scale) by a statistical process called equating. For conversion of raw score to scaled score Score Conversion Table is used. Do you Know ? In 1994, the test mean was re-centered and the test re-named to simply SAT. So, SAT doesn't really stand for anything! No. of correct questions (No. of wrong questions 4) = Raw Score 15.
