NOTE
All TUPS and RIG LAMBS must be declared and sold separately. In the event of any dispute the decision of the
Auctioneer will be final.
CONDITIONS OF SALE
As exhibited in the Pay Office on the day of the Sale.
SHORTAGES Any shortages must be reported to the Auctioneer before the Sheep leave the pen.

PLEASE NOTE
Under the current legislation you will also need an animal movement licence (ARAMS1 - 01/14) for each
consignment of store sheep. Additional copies of the movement licences can be obtained from Animal
Reporting and Movement Services, Tel: 0844 5730137.
Vendors will also be required to complete a Leek Auctions blue Sheep Movement form declaring that there have
been no movements of susceptible livestock onto the holding in the 6 days prior to the date of consignment to the
market. These forms should travel with the sheep.
Persons attending the market are advised under the Animal Gatherings Order 2004 that if their clothing becomes
contaminated with faecal matter whilst in the sheep penning and sale area they will be required to cleanse and
disinfect before leaving.
IT IS THEREFORE ADVISABLE TO WEAR WATERPROOF LEGGINGS AND RUBBER BOOTS TO
PROTECT YOUR OUTER CLOTHING.
Please also ensure that your vehicle and trailer are clean prior to loading your stock.

TAGS We advise that all sheep that are to be sold as stores, breeding or grazing types should be electronically tagged.
Sheep over 12 months of age are to be double tagged. Single electronic slaughter tags can only be used in lambs
under 12 months of age

Attention Store Sheep Vendors and Buyers
In order to assist our purchasers and vendors, please note our new starting time of 10am for the
2016 / 2017 season. We will be commencing promptly in order that we can commence the
breeding sheep at 2pm.
We would be pleased if you could ensure that all sheep are consigned to the market in good
time to ensure we are able to start promptly.
All lambs penned in pens 1 – 179 should be penned and sorted by 9.30am.
All other lambs should aimed to be penned by 10am.
All breeding sheep should be penned by 12 noon.
Market staff are on site from 6.30am to accept delivery of stock. If you need to delivery stock
before this time, please contact the auctioneers to make arrangements.
