DAGGA
The
destroyer

The dagga-pushers come with their
arguments.
They say that we are not educated in
the true knowledge of dagga.
The question is: What agenda are they
hiding behind these arguments?
For they know very well that:
dagga-pushers can make millions out
of young learners who love experimenting with everything around
them.
if our country’s laws are not in place to
protect the vulnerable youth, they will have the opportunity to create open
markets in all schools and communities
to sell billions of rands’ worth of dagga.
their own comfort- zones will become
even more comfortable and our youth
become even more zombie–like; slaves
of drugs, stealing, robbing, deceiving and murdering. Young people in great
anguish and need of the next fix. And
they do not care!
Should we not stand together and say no
to the legalization of dagga in our country?
We do not want our generation to go down
in history as dagga – zombies but as a generation with sound minds, integrity and
an ability to carry the responsibility of
becoming the future rulers of our land.

Dagga Will destroy
our youth
Perhaps the use of dagga has already clouded their way of thinking and has destroyed their
power of logical reasoning. We who live in
poorer communities know that dagga is a
harmful drug. We do not need scientifically proven evidence. We see the destruction
dagga has brought to lives every single day in
our homes, neighbourhood and schools. We all
know that:
Once a child or teenager begins to smoke
dagga, he loses all motivation to excel in his
studies.
Responsibility, hard work and effort to
achieve his goals go out with the bathwater
and he becomes a person who runs after
immediate gratification.
His school work deteriorates and he begins
to fail or even drops out of school.
He becomes argumentative and violent with
his parents and his teachers.
He does not care about showing respect to
older members of the community anymore.
He becomes addicted to dagga and starts
to steal even from his own home and family.
He falls into depression and becomes a
person in need of help.
The use of dagga makes him lose his fear of
drugs and he gets involved with harder
drugs.
We experience these signs in
dagga-users daily. We meet up
with some who came out from the
slavery of addiction and they have
much to tell.
“I went through the dagga gate
onto a road that lead to an addic-
tion to crack cocaine and heroin. If
I had never got into dagga I would
never have found myself a ‘hard
drug’ addict,” says an ex-dagga
smoker.
Another one admitted, “If I did not
start with dagga, I would have been
an engineer today.”
Did you know that plans are being
made to destroy your hope for a
normal, bright future?
A middle-aged, wealthy couple are
scheming at this moment to bring
despair and hopelessness into your
young, vibrant life. They are sitting in
their comfort-zone with your future in
their hands.
Next year, 31 July 2017, they will
appear in court to fight against our
constitutional law.
They want dagga to be legalized!
They want to smoke, buy and sell
dagga without police interference!
The laws against dagga make them
uncomfortable, but that law is your
protection against people like them.
