1. SCHIESS GmbH – The company Set up by the future VDW founding father and Magdeburg engineer Ernst Schiess in 1866 in Düsseldorf, SCHIESS quickly progressed to being one of the largest German manufacturers for machine tools with several plants and almost 2000 employees. 3.3. Base machine, electrics The machine is designed with electrical equipment in consideration with the IEC-Rules 204.1 (acc. to VDE 0113). The electrical equipment of machine includes the electrical cabinets with inbuilt air-conditioning unit and all required components and cables between control cabinets and machine as well as the complete installation at the machine. The wiring is marked in the principle of source-target. Machine hours are recorded via NC. A LED working area lighting on column, switchalble in two stages, is standard. As feed motors SIEMENS AC servomotors are used. In case of overload of the motors an automatic switch off is ensured. Inside of the electric cabinet the drive controllers are located. As CNC control system, the SINUMERIK 840Dsl is used. The CNC is equipped with all, for the function of machine, required options. Diagnostic system SCHIESS Help The diagnostic system SCHIESS Help consists of HTML files, which exactly describe all PLC alarms. This support is available by push buttons in the PCU50. The auxiliary files are designed in that way, that for each alarm the error message, the reason, location and required actions to repair are shown. Operation of machine The operator`s position is on the right hand side of the machine column. The control of the machine is operated via a swivelable control panel on a free standing column. The control panel contains the NC control panel with screen and machine specific operation devices.

3.4. Machine guarding To comply with the health and safety regulations the machine is equipped with a work enclosure. The machine is equipped with guarding around the complete working area, consisting of a metal grid fence with height of 1.40 m, metal walls with windows at the operator`s place inclusive of controlled doors.

4. Generals • Painting is performed in structural varnish (silk mat Z421).

Following colours are used as standard execution: • Night blue RAL 5022 – for beds, slides, table plate • Light grey RAL 7035 – for column, control cabinets, hydraulic

unit, cooler, coolant attachment • Signal yellow RAL 1003 – for mechanical danger points and safety devices • Deep black RAL 9005 – for stairs, railing, operational elements, setting elements

2006/42/EG and is in accordance with DIN EN 60204 as well as VDE 0113 and 0160.

• Others than indicated customer specific delivery and technical requirements are not considered.

• Special tools are our scope of delivery, if required for installation/commissioning and service.

• The conditions for operation have to be kept for commissioning and final acceptance, as well as in respect to proper operational working condition.

5. Additional attachments Automatic Tool Changer with 40 pockets The automatic tool changer consists of a chain magazine which is vertically mounted at the column of machine portal. A movable double gripper manipulator conducts the removal and set-down of milling and drilling tools out of or into the chain magazine. The tool offset selection is via D-numbers without T-assignment (flat D-numbers).The programmed tools (T-number) correspond to the number on the magazine. The loading/unloading of tools in the magazine is manually. • Number of tool pockets 40 pcs.

Chips and flow back coolant are collected in the working area and guided into the conveyor via sheet metal guides. The chips are dumped into a container outside the working area in a discharge height of approx. 850 mm over floor via an ascending part tilted by 60 degrees. The chip conveyor is provided in hinged belt design with sufficient width and capacity according to the particular machine configuration selected. Please note: The chip container is not included in the scope of delivery.

Coolant attachment for internal and external coolant supply with paper band filter, frequency regulated The coolant system consists of a tank, various pumps for internal and external coolant supply, paper band filter, duplex filter for internal coolant supply and the necessary plumbing, valves and hoses. Coolant is collected in working area and guided into the chip conveyor by sheet metal deflectors and is returned to the tank via the conveyor. The volume of external and internal coolant is regulated by frequency-controlled pumps. 7. Foundation Upon receipt of order you will get a project drawing from us which shows the machine with its periphery and the according alignment conditions on your premises. We ask you to confirm this project drawing within 30 days. After your confirmation we will submit you a foundation plan after a contractual stipulated period (surface description). Therein itemized you`ll find the configuration of the foundation surface as well as the static and dynamic loads according to the machine configuration. Please note: Our scope of delivery does not include the design and execution of foundation as well as materials as fixtures, frames, cement or casting compounds which are required for placing the fixtures. The covers for foundation, cable and pipe channels, cable and pipe fixtures, sheet cable channels, chip guiding sheets and chip grid covers are not included in our scope of delivery.

8. Services

8.1. Pre-acceptance The pre-acceptance of the machine at manufacturer`s works is performed about 2 weeks before the contracted machine shipment date. The customer shall be informed in advance that he can participate in the pre-acceptance. The pre-acceptance includes: • Machine geometry according to SCHIESS Final-acceptance protocol similar to DIN

8620 • Positioning accuracy according to SCHIESS Final-acceptance protocol similar to

VDI/DGQ 3441 • Machine functions • Check of scope of delivery

8.2. Packaging and transport • Packaging for trucking • Delivery FCA Aschersleben according to INCOTERMS 2010

8.3. Installation and commissioning Customer`s responsibility • Preparation of installation location as per foundation plan and installation layout • Machine unloading, unpacking and cleaning • Transportation to installation location • Space for assembling inclusive of required crane (height and load) must be

8.4. Final acceptance The final acceptance is performed directly after the completed installation and start up at the customer’s works. The volume of this acceptance is identical to the pre-acceptance already performed at the manufacturer`s works. A final acceptance protocol will be signed by both parties, confirming the start of warranty period. Machining test with VDI/NAS part or customer`s component are optionally and must be discussed and offered separately.

8.5. Training in customer`s works The training contains: • Machine operating • Programming (machine specific) • Duration: 5 days directly after/respectively during the installation and start up • Pre-condition: Basic knowledge of machine control system

8.6. Service

060_08 Service with remote maintenance By means of teleservice the machine CNC can communicate by using of different hard- and software components via internet with an applicable PC in our company. That means that the same picture is displayed on both monitors. Thus, the service-staff of SCHIESS can operate the control in customer’s work. The teleservice includes the following functions: • Remote Control • Acquisition of machine data, no

production data, solely for the support of services • Trend analysis of vibrations • Screen redirection for accessing the HMI • Recording of data for the customer and providing for customer`s systems

Requirements at customer`s side: • An industrial PC is installed on the machine • The IPC has two network interfaces, one for machine network and one for the

customer`s network • The customer can access on the individual subscribers via the IPC (port forwarding) • The IPC builds an openVPN connection to the SCHIESS server • The IPC does not require additional network resources • The VPN for remote access can be enabled and disabled using a key switch • The basic VPN is permanent, so that the data can transferred securely Security: • The VPN is set up by IPC to the server, there is no possibility of external direct

access to the IPC • The server is clearly, that communication can always be controlled by the customer

10. Delivery conditions

10.1. Validity of offer If not stipulated differently, the prices stated are valid for a period of 60 days as of date of quotation. We keep the right in insignificant changing of technical features in order to improve our products. Excluded are changes of the subject of contract with disadvantage for the customer. In case of extensive changes we will ask for a confirmation by customer. An order becomes validity after our written confirmation. Because the offered machine is a stock machine, we reserve the right to sell the machine to others.

10.2. Prices All prices stated in this offer are to be understood net in EURO without V.A.T / taxes EXW Aschersleben according to IMCOTERMS 2010, unpacked.

10.3. Payment conditions 1. 30% of order value after placing the order against invoice 2. 60% of order value with delivery against invoice and shipping documents or announcement of delivery in case the delivery will be delayed due to any reasons beyond SCHIESS` control 3. 10% of order value with ready-to-operate handing over in customer`s works against final acceptance protocol and final invoice Payable within 14 days when due and invoice each. The machine keeps in manufacturer`s ownership until full payment.

10.4. Delivery time The machine can be delivered ex works approx. 4-6 weeks after placement of order, clarification of all technical and commercial details as well as down payment. The precise date of delivery will be defined upon signing of contract.

10.5. Warranty The warranty period comes to 36 months as of commissioning, but max. 38 months as of delivery, if the commissioning is delayed due to reasons beyond SCHIESS` control. The warranty does not cover wear parts, defects caused by others or due to inappropriate handling. The warranty is valid under the pre-condition that the machine is used in accordance with the contract conditions and the service conditions in accordance with documentation are kept. SCHIESS GmbH
