My role:

•Teaches lessons for students on many topics involving feelings, friendship, how to deal with stress and more!

•Meets with parents, small groups of students and meets with students one on one.

•Helps students find solutions to problems, develop skills, cope with their many different feelings and more.

•Keeps what students say private unless they are not safe.

Fun facts:

•My favorite animals are dolphins.

•I love to swim.

•I enjoy going to the beach.

My Role:

• Case manager for 1st, 3rd, and 5th grade

• Provides one-on-one and small group counseling to students

• Teaches guidance lessons on topics such as: bullying prevention, friendship, and career development

• Works with students to encourage whole self-development from the beginning to the end of their elementary career

Fun Facts:

• I have a 4-month-old daughter named Adaline

• I love to run and be outside when I'm not working

• I'm a huge football fan – Go Hokies and Niners!

PE Teacher

• My wife and I are both elementary school teachers

• I enjoy watching all sports, but especially my Alma Mater; Let's Go Mountaineers!

• My favorite thing to do in my spare time is to play the guitar.

Fun Facts:

• I decided to become an art teacher when I won an art contest in second grade.

• I love to paint, sew, refinish furniture, read, and spend time in my garden.

My Role:

• Prepare curriculum & provide instruction in music for K-5th grade students.

• Create a fun, engaging and safe space for students to learn about, explore and perform music.

• Support and guide students for the six years I have the privilege of working with them!

• Fun Facts:

• I have a Masters degree in trumpet performance

• I have a son in 6th grade who plays the violin and a daughter in 9th grade who plays piano.

• I have two dogs, Otto and Rex.

• I absolutely love being outside and spend as much time in the sunshine as possible.

• I love all things Disney.

Mrs. Klaasse: I love to read! I love traveling to new places. I'm a history nut and I love drawing and painting. I'm also a HUGH Ohio State fan! GO BUCKS! O-H-I-O!

Mrs. Damato: I love spending time on my boat with my family fishing. Spending time with my friends. And I LOVE watching my Yankees play baseball.

Instructional Technology Coach

My Role:

• I provide on-site and on-demand assistance for fellow teachers to create different forms of learning and teaching with the help of technology.

• I develop, model and co-teach appropriate curriculum-based technology-rich lessons with teachers and students.

Fun Facts:

• I have a 3 year old daughter, Olivia.

• I played tennis in high school and college.

• I'm from Maine and love spending time outside and being by the ocean!

Reading Specialist

My Role:

• My job is to help Bennett strengthen their communication skills and develop a love of books and reading!

• I also support classroom teachers as they design amazing and engaging instruction for their students!

Fun Facts:

• I have a 12-year old Dachshund named Ginny!

• My husband and I love to travel! We have visited all 50 states; we have taken in a game at every NHL arena; and we have taken in a game in every MLB city! We've visited 30 countries and territories and counting!

• We are also huge Disney fans…we got married at Walt Disney World and also renewed our vows there for our 20th anniversary!

• I'm originally from Canada! Go Leafs!
