Dear Parents and Caregivers, What an amazing couple of weeks. Friday 16th May saw all our students being involved in Jamie Oliver’s Food Revolu-tion Day. It was a great day to celebrate and learn more about healthy eating. Thanks to the many parents who helped out and made the day such a great success. I would especially like to thank Mrs Rid-ley for all her work in preparing for the day. We extend our thanks to Wool-

worths who pro-vided all the food items for the day.

This week we have commemorated and highlight some im-portant moments in the life of our country. On Saturday we celebrated the Feast of Our Lady Help of Christians. This is the patron of Australia and it is to Mary we seek guidance and help as a nation. Last Monday we gathered as a whole school to commemorate National Sorry Day which then lead into Reconciliation Week. The week is a time for all Australians to learn about our shared histories, cultures and achievements and to explore how each of us can join the national reconciliation effort.

The Music is Fun concert held yesterday, Wednesday 28th May ,was a fantastic opportunity to celebrate the musical talent and life of the school. Classes had been learning and

preparing for this concert all term. Thanks to Ms Ri-ley for all her work in pre-paring classes. It was a fan-tastic opportunity to see all of our students singing, dancing and celebrate.

Yesterday, a number of our students celebrated their First Reconciliation. We congratulate them and continue to pray for them as they prepare for Confirmation and First Holy Communion. On Friday, 23rd May we joined the rest of the country in Walking Safely to School. We had a great turn out with over 40 students and many parents who meet us at the Enfield Library for the walk to school. Thanks to those who join in. A couple of years ago we used to have a First Feet Friday every month… Should we continue this activ-ity? Would love to hear your thoughts…

This term our Charity focus is St Vin-cent de Paul Society and their Winter Appeal. In the afternoon of the 27th of June, Feast of the Sacred Heart, as a school we will meet in the gym after lunch. Each class will be invited to bring down their donations and create a sculpture.

The theme of class sculptures is LOVE. Student will be asked to bring in non-perishable food items that will ultimately be used in food parcels for those in need.

We wish our choirs singing at the Reconciliation event on

Friday 30th May and Calvary hospital June 3rd all the best as

well as those representing our school at the Catholic Schools

Athletics Carnival on Wednesday 4th June. To Mrs Cosen-

tino-Tassone, we wish you all the best for a great few weeks

off and welcome Mrs Lorna Boccaccio in her new role as

classroom teacher in Year 4/5CT for the rest

of the term.

I invite you to join me for a coffee and chat in the Community Room

Monday 2nd June from 2:30pm and Tuesday 3rd June from 8:30am

All the best for a great weekend and the week ahead.

from Stuart
