•This school is situated in a village called Ranapanadeniya. You have to turn right at Rathgama junction and have to travel 1.8km on the Dodangoda road. There, you will find the first school, That is Ranapanadeniya Shri Dharmadhara college.

•In 1918 this school was founded by Rev.Rathgama Shri Dharmadhara thera. With his personal wealth . He maintained a good reputation of providing with high school facilities at that time.

• Most of the parents of this school are poor. They are employed in various jobs. Fisheries industry , cultivation, coir industry and carpentry are some of the main jobs that they are involved in. In addition some parents do labour , picking coconuts , sawing wood, masonry etc.

• In some families both the father & mother are employed in small jobs. 33% of the whole number of students are not cared and looked after at all. They are helpless. It is sad to say some parents have left behind their children.

• The situation is as such, we proudly say most of the parents are taking a keen interest in uplifting our school.
