Combining a progressive shape with increased tip height and radius creates Pro-Tip Rocker. Scott’s Pro-Tip produces a more consistent ski flex and predictable turns. Scott skis, using Pro-Tip Rocker, simply track better than the competition and are available in three heights catering specifically to the skis’ intended use: 300mm (Preci-sion On-Piste), 350mm (All-Mountain), 375 and 450mm (Freeride)

SCOTT ROCKER TECHNOLOGY

In 2002, SCOTT developed the Santiago, a ski designed to perform in deep snow while maintaining edge control at high speeds and in steep terrain. SCOTT designers created a ski with an elongated tip, moving the point where the ski comes in contact with the snow further back from the front of the ski. Today, the ski industry calls this Rocker, a technology that has been part of the SCOTT ski line for over 10 years.

SCOTT builds rockered skis with the goal of producing the best performing skis; products that improve the overall experience of the skier in any condition and terrain. The rocker technology found on SCOTT skis has undergone extensive testing and development to assure the perfect tip/middle part transition, tip radius and balance. SCOTT is proud to deliver three specific Rocker Technologies: Pro-Tip Rocker, Venturi-Tip Rocker and Twin-Tip Rocker.

TWIN-TIP ROCKER

Twin-Tip Rocker places Rocker on both the tip and tail of twin tip skis to allow for maximum float when riding both forward and switch. Tail Rocker also improves ski handling in powder by allowing the tail of the ski to sit deeper in the snow while bring-ing the tip up.

VENTURI-TIP ROCKER

Venturi-Tip Rocker combines a hollowed shape with a rocker tip. The resulting Venturi-Tip Rocker design effectively decreases the skis’ surface pressure in deep snow, while Rocker allows the tip to be elevated to the surface, yielding a highly versatile performer in both deep snow and variable conditions.

The Venturi-Tip Rocker is available in three sizes: S,M,L

This revolutionary 3Dimension Sidecut combines 2 radii with a central flat line under foot. The tip and tail radii allow for easy turn initiation while the flat line pro-vides stability, power and precision. Designed in conjunction with our Freeski Team Athletes, 3Dimension Sidecut provides a level of versatility, balance and power under foot that meets the demands of the world’s best skiers. Joining the Mega Dozer, Dozer and Lola, SCOTT has added three new skis featuring 3Dimension Sidecut to the 2012/2013 line, the Jib TW, Punisher and the Jib.

MIPS® IS A TECHNOLOGY WHICH MIMICS THE HUMAN HEADThe brain is suspended in low friction cerebrospinal fluid which allows your brain to slide within your skull to protect when impacted. MIPS® is a unique technology intended to protect your brain against oblique blows by mimicking this low friction barrier, thereby reducing the forces transmitted to your brain. Scott has integrated MIPS® technology into the Rove and Chase helmets.
