Scott Thomas Biography—January 2012 Scott Thomas is vice president, Consumer Marketing for Cartoon Network, a global kids and family entertainment network within Turner Broadcasting System, Inc.’s portfolio of cable/satellite television networks, digital properties and entertainment businesses targeted for kids and young adults. In this capacity, Thomas provides leadership over the development of show positioning, media strategy, overall marketing execution, and brand positioning for Cartoon Network priority properties, including original series, movies and special events. In addition, his efforts expand traditional marketing campaigns to include strategic multi-platform reach through the development of social media content and digital media campaigns. Thomas is based in Atlanta and reports directly to Brenda Piper, Chief Marketing Officer, for Turner Broadcasting’s Animation, Young Adults & Kids Media group (AYAKM). Thomas joined Turner Broadcasting in February 2007 as director of marketing for GameTap, an online subscription video game service providing classic arcade, video game and game-related video content. In this role, he led the team responsible for managing the complete marketing mix that drove quality traffic, subscribers and game play via online and traditional media and brand messaging strategies. Prior to this, Thomas served four years as director of media, messaging and annual planning at EarthLink, where he developed and managed consumer facing messaging and media strategies for the company’s full scope of products and services. He assumed this key position within a year after being originally hired as director of marketing communications and agency alliances in 2003. Earlier in his career, Thomas served as director of client services at Iconologic LLC, an Atlanta-based advertising and marketing consulting firm, and as industry director, retail, telco & entertainment at iXL, Inc., managing a team of 13 project and client management eBusiness consultants specializing in the retail, consumer package goods and telecommunications industries. He also worked for the Coca-Cola Company as senior manager, national consumer marketing for the POWERaDE ® , Fruitopia ® and Minute Maid ® brands. Thomas began his career at Bausch & Lomb Inc. where he served in a variety of management positions, including global marketing manager for prescription sunwear and brand manager for new products. A New York native, Thomas received his MBA in Marketing & Economics from the University of Rochester’s Simon School of Business, and his bachelor’s degree in science biology from Hobart College. Scott Thomas is vice president, Consumer Marketing for Cartoon Network, a global kids and family

entertainment network within Turner Broadcasting System, Inc.’s portfolio of cable/satellite television networks,

digital properties and entertainment businesses targeted for kids and young adults. In this capacity, Thomas

provides leadership over the development of show positioning, media strategy, overall marketing execution, and

brand positioning for Cartoon Network priority properties, including original series, movies and special events. In

addition, his efforts expand traditional marketing campaigns to include strategic multi-platform reach through the

development of social media content and digital media campaigns. Thomas is based in Atlanta and reports directly

to Brenda Piper, Chief Marketing Officer, for Turner Broadcasting’s Animation, Young Adults & Kids Media group

Thomas joined Turner Broadcasting in February 2007 as director of marketing for GameTap, an online

subscription video game service providing classic arcade, video game and game-related video content. In this role,
