Lee is a graduate of Auburn University and currently resides in Arlington with his wife, Commissioner Amber Mills, and their two sons, Grayson (11) and Tanner (8). He is a pilot for FedEx Express and is a Captain on the Boeing 757/767. He is also a flight instructor at FedEx. Lee has been involved in politics since he was 10 years old when he volunteered with the local mayor’s race. Lee is the President of the Arlington Education Foundation, Emeritus Member of the Auburn University Aviation Advisory Board, was appointed by Governor Haslam to serve on the State of Tennessee Nursing Board, serves on the Board of Governors for St. Francis Hospital, is the former Chairman of the Republican Party of Shelby County and is the current District 32 Committeeman for the TNGOP. The Mills are active members of Bellevue Baptist Church. Lee will be speaking to the differences between Republicans and Democrats.

Membership...Hello SPRING!!! Welcome to all our new members and Associates! We are delighted to have you at SCRWC!! Members, we need your help! Remember our motto is “Each One Bring One?” You can sign up one person or give a membership to a family member or friend! Membership Dues are $30 and Associates are $20. We need 50 New Members by May 1 so that all Members and Associates will be listed in our New Directory to be handed out at the June Picnic.

Spring! What a wonderful season! Let’s think about new life and growth. We all need to “spring” into action by growing our membership snd working to promote our conservative ideals. 2020 is coming and we are all needed to keep our country “the land of the free and the home of the brave”. Lee Mills will be our great speaker in April and REMEMBER- our meeting is on the
third Tuesday, April 16! Lee will be speaking to the differences between Republicans and Democrats. These differences are becoming more pronounced as we see the Democratic Presidential Candidates spelling out their platforms. By the time you are reading this, our Ladies’ Day on the Hill will be history. What an awesome responsibility this has been for SCRWC to be the host club for this occasion! Thanks to all the members of the club for being so helpful in contributing to the success of this inspiring occasion.

Mid-South Food Bank Thanks, ladies for filling our “Red Wagon” with food at the March meeting of the SCRWC. We look forward to delivering your donations to the Mid-South Food Bank, whose mission statement is “From Hunger to Hope.” Alpha Omega It was an honor to meet Cordell Walker, Exe. Director of Alpha Omega, and Asst. Director, Vicki Azlin. They were very appreciative of the items of clothing we were able to purchase for our disabled veterans with the money you donated. Life Choices We had 40 bottles given out to participants at our March meeting for a fund raiser for Life Choices. If you were unable to come we still have 40 more bottles to distribute at our April meeting. We would appreciate you bringing the bottles back to our May meeting filled with spare change, dollar bills, or a check. We will then turn the filled bottles over to Karen McNeil who will be speaking on behalf of Life Choices in May.
