3. Secured “ Best player of the tournament” award in kslu Inter collegiate

kabaddi tournament in the year 2014-15 held at Puttur.

4. Secured Gold Medal in 4X100 Mts Relay and Bronze Medal in 400 mts in

KSLU Inter collegiate Athletic Meet Held at Dharwad in the year 2014-15

and 2015-16.

KSLU INTER COLLEGIATE BADMINTON

TOURNAMENT 2016-17 (MEN AND WOMEN)

The Karnataka State Law University Inter Collegiate Badminton

Tournament for men and women was held at Srinivas Mallya Indoor Stadium,

Mangalore on 15th

and 16th

September 2016. The tournament was organized by

S.D.M Law College, Mangalore in association with Karnataka State Law

University Hubballi.. 16 men teams and 08 women teams have participated in this

tournament. The accommodation was arranged in the college premises for men

and provided bed, pillow and bed sheets. The team managers, officials and women

players were accommodated in the hotel. The night dinner was arranged in the

college campus. The tournament was conducted on knockout Basis. The

tournament was inaugurated by Dr.Vishwas Saralaya K, Associate Professor and

Sports coordinator, K M C, Mangalore. Dr. Tharanath, Principal, S.D.M. Law

College, Mangalore presided over the programme. Mr. Krishnegowda, Physical

Education Director, Vidyavardhaka law college Mysore and president of KSLU

Physical Education Directors Association, and Mr. Shashiprasad, Physical

Education Director and Convenor of the tournament was present on the occasion.

Morning 8.30 am breakfast provided for all the players, Managers, student

volunteers and faculty of our college .The event started at sharp 11.00 am and

followed by Lunch at 1.30pm. The final matches started at 6.30 pm.

The prize distribution ceremony was held at 8.30p.m on 15th September

2016. Sri. Anish krishna B, Advocate and an Alumnus SDM Law College and Ex-

Captain of KSLU Badminton Team, Dr. Tharanath, Principal, SDM Law College,

Mangalore and Sri. Shashiprasad, Physical Director, S.D.M. Law College,

Mangalore distributed the prizes to the winners.

The University team selection trials held on 16th

September 2016 at N I T K

surathkal. Selection trials started at 9.30 am.40 students from men section and 12

students from women section have participated in the selection trials. Mr. Suresh

kumar, Physical Director, J S S law college, Mysore, Mr. Krishnegowda, Physical

Education Director, Vidyavardhaka law college, Mysore and Mohan Langoti from

Hubballi were the selection committee members.

Athletic Meet 2016-17

The Karnataka State Law University Inter collegiate Athletic Meet 2016-17 was held on

April 2017 at R.N.Shetty Stadium Dharwad. Our college men and women teams

have secured OVERALL CHAMPIONSHIP. Women team has secured TEAM

CHAMPIONSHIP with 62 points and men team has secured SECOND RUNNER-UP with 26

points.
