PART II: Information about the School’s Values Education Activity/Programme

The information of part II from no.1 to 14 should be no longer than nine (9) pages long of A4 in

1. Title of the school’s programme

ARTE KO(My Art ) REGALO KO (My Gift)EDUKASYON MO (Your Education)

2. Summary of the programme (a half to one page A4)

The Arte Ko (My Art),Regalo Ko (My Gift )Edukasyon Mo (Your Education) is a program of the

Parent- Teachers Association (PTA) of the Sinait National High School for the school year 2012-2013.

It aims to provide financial assistance to students for their education, to motivate and develop students

talents of the students in the area of arts, dance and music.

Gifted students who are inclined with arts , dance , and music are encouraged to contribute their

talents and skills as a gift to help other students for a.)scholarship Program b.) the Youth Development

Center Building c.)Regalo Ko (My Gift) sa mga Studyante ( for the students) d.)Regalo Ko (My Gift) sa

Eskwela (to my School) and e.)Tapat (Honest) ant Mapagkakatiwalaang (Trustworthy)

Estudyante (Student) Award .

Scholarship Program-it is an adopt – a school program wherein poor but deserving students are

given a monthly stipend of Php400 to augment their daily financial schooling. These students have

undergone background investigation regarding their financial status in their own families , a personal

interview and at least has a passing grade of 75% in all their subjects.

Youth Development Center Building –the avenue for the development of students , talents , skills

in music and arts. It is where the students spend their time during vacant periods.

a) Happy Face Booth – (Arts and Music Studio)

- Arts -a place where the students go and relax , bonding together , enjoy , express

themselves and relieve their pains and problems in life. It is where the student artists do the drawing or

caricature to those interested participants , students , teachers and visitors as being a studio model or a

Happy Face Model. Each of the Happy Face Model participants will received a certificate of

participation and a portrait caricature drawing and pay a minimal amount of Php20.00.The proceed of

this project will finance the scholarship program.

- Music – a place where the student musicians performed and played their bands during

their vacant period. As well as the other students who have their vacant period/ free time will go and

watch the musicians performed.

Regalo Ko (My Gift) sa mga Studyante ( for the Students) - support school needs ( bags , school

supplies ,shoes, books, school uniforms and others ) and financial assistance to winning students or

group of students/team who will be participating in the Division, Regional and National Contests.

Regalo Ko (My Gift) sa Eskwela (to my School) – a financial assistance for the purchase of a

computer set with printer for the school, mural paintings and flood control project.

Tapat (Honest) ant Mapagkakatiwalaang (Trustworthy)Estudyante (Student) Award - advisers

will select the most honest and trustworthy student in their class .

The programme has two major activites the painting and art exhibit and the Musikwela on Heart’s

Day.

3. Background information or reasons why the school created this programme

For we are God’s masterpiece created to do good works. We freely received God’s gift , freely we

give and share to others. Gift is the expression of love of God. All projects are motivated to be by

gift giving. This is the reason why the school created this programme Arte Ko (My Art),Regalo Ko (My

Gift )Edukasyon Mo (Your Education).Through this , skills and talents of students will be developed

and learn to share thus helping others with regards to their financial needs as well as promoting a new

breed of generation who are honest and trustworthy leaders for the future.

4. School vision, mission and core values

School Vision: To develop a learner who-shall be self-actualized, capable of making moral decisions ,

shall have concern toward others, shall love his country and shall have faith in the Divine Providence.

School Mission:

To inculcate to the students the Universal standard of character as basis of responsible use of their

freedom on decision-making, goal setting, planning and reflection on the morality of one’s action.

The program aims to: motivate and develop students’ potentials , talents and skills in culture , music

and arts; enhance the students’ potentials , talent and skills through the teachers who were participants

in the National Conference Workshop on Culture & Arts for teachers ; develop students’ awareness of

love of country, the environment, love of God and their community ; develop cooperation , leadership ,

love and teamwork for progress and development ; provide financial assistance to 25 recipient students

for their educational allowance ; finance the completion of the Youth Development Center , a center for

the development of culture and arts; provide a computer set for the school; finance the fence flood

control project and mural paintings.

A.) ART GALLERY EXHIBIT

Venue:SNHS Covered Court

Date:December 20,2012 , 7:30 AM

Theme:”Maayos (Peaceful) na Pagsasamahan (Relationship) , Pagtutulungan (Cooperation) at (and)

Pagbibigayan (Sharing) Tungo (Towards) sa Maunlad (Progressive) at (and) Epektibong

(Effective )Paaralan. (School)”

MECHANICS OF THE ART- WORKSHOP

1. Five (5) students from every section in all year levels who are inclined and interested in

Painting will be selected by the section adviser. The names and sections will be listed

2. The 270 students from the 54 sections will be encouraged to attend a PAINTING

WORKSHOP free of registration fee on October 6, 13, 2012 ( two Saturdays) at 8:00 AM to

3:00 PM. Each student will provide his/her own materials (1 oslo paper and pencil).

3. The 270 students will create a canvass painting individually with a size of 14 ½ x 14 ½

inches. The motif of the painting will be Tourist spots sceneries of Ilocos Sur and Ilocos

Norte.

4. Their paintings should be made beautiful with the same standard frame and ready to be

exhibited on scheduled date which will serve as their contribution to(“Arte Ko(My

Art),RegaloKo (My Gift),Edukasyon Mo (your Education)” and as their entries for the

selection of the top three (3) best painting with Php3,000.00 for the first prize ,Php 2,000.00

for the second prize and

Php 1,000 for third prize and Php500.00 for the best painting per year level.

5. The PTA, FACULTY and STUDENTS will join together to promote the project by

looking for sponsors who are very much willing to buy Sponsor Card amounting to P 1,000

from 1st week of October to 1

st week of December 2012. Each section is encouraged to scout

five (5) sponsors. Every sponsor will be automatically entitled to own one (1) canvass

painting. The 270 students shall be given Five hundred pesos (Php500) each to compensate

their artworks.

B. MUSIKWELA ON HEARTS’ DAY

Venue:SNHS Covered Court Date: February 12, 2012. 1:00 PM Theme: “Arte (Art) at (and) Musika (Music), Tanda (Symbol) ng (of) Pag-ibig (Love) at(and) Ginhawa (Progress)”

B.1) DANCE DRAMA CONTEST CONTEST MECHANICS

1. Participants should be presently enrolled students of Sinait National High School, SY 2012-2013

who had undergone the National Improvisational Theatre Arts Workshop last October 19-21,2013at Sinait National High School, Sinait, Ilocos Sur.

2. There should be 10 to 20 participants in each group excluding technical assistants. Each group shall compose of students from Fourth Year, Third Year, Second Year and Grade Seven.

3. Performing time should not exceed to 15 minutes including entrance, exit and setting and dismantling of props and other materials.

4. The criteria for judging: a. Musicality ---- 20% b. Choreography ---- 20% c. Stage Presentation ----- 25 % d. Relevance to the theme -- 20% e. Props and Costumes ------ 15%

5. Coaches and trainers should be teachers of Sinait National High School who had undergone Theater

Arts Trainings. 6. The following prizes are at stake:

First Place ----- Php 2,000.00 Second Place -----Php 1,500.00

Third Place ---- Php 1,000.00 Consolation Prize --- Php 500.00

B2)BATTLE OF THE BANDS CONTEST MECHANICS and GUIDELINES

1. Participants should be presently enrolled students of Sinait National High School, SY 2012-2013. 2. There should be 5 to 10 participants in each group excluding technical assistants. 3. Performing time should not exceed to 20 minutes. 4. There should be four songs to be played as follows:

a. Reggae b. 1 Love Song (RnB, free choice) c. 1 Nationalistic Song (free choice) d. 1 Religious Song (free choice) e. 1 Common Song (Garlic Center of the North)

Programme monitoring and evaluation mechanisms:

For the Art Galery Exhibit- paintings of artist are based on the motif of the different sceneries of Ilocos

Sur. There were three board of judges who will select the winners.These winners have been chosen one

for each year level and from these selected paintings one will be chosen as adjudge to be the Best in

Painting. The criteria of evaluation was based from the given mechanics of the contest.

For the Musikwela on Hearts’ Day evaluation was based from the mechanics of the contest.

Plan for sustainability: The advocacy of the different activities such as : the training of students to

become artist for the happy face booth (caricature) and arts painting to have more scholar grantees and

funding for other school needs .

Plan for the future:

The Youth Development Center Building will be the venue of culture of arts and music.All the

products made by students will be displayed as a form of souveneers. These souveneers will sold and it

will become an income generating project.
