Monaco Nice

SHOPPING IN MONTE CARLOMonaco is widely recognised as an international capital for the world of luxury. The foremost names in fashion soon set up shop in the Principality; “haute couture”, perfumes, jewellery, the most beautiful attire had found a perfect backdrop : the Principality of Monaco.

THE PRINCE’S PALACEBuilt on the site of the ancient fortress, it features an Italian-style arcade known as the “Galerie d’Hercule”, which runs all along the State Appartments, the Throne Room, the Palatine Chapel built in the 17th century, and the Court of Honor where open-air concerts are performed in summer by the Monte-Carlo Philharmonic Orchestra.

FLOWER MARKETNice’s famous Flower Market is one of the best attractions in the whole city. The edges are lined with cafés and souvenir shops, and the stands themselves are packed with amazing produce and myriad flowers. It operates six days a week, replaced on Mondays by a flea and antiques market.

VIEUX NICE, OR OLD NICEOld Nice is downright dripping with atmosphere. Its narrow streets are a one-stop shop for take-home finds, such as Provençal wares, household items, wine, gourmet gifts, hip clothing and more. There are numerous restaurants in the area, as well as several fun bars and nightclubs. Be sure to stop off for a delicious ice cream in this neighborhood.

Dubrovnik Istanbul

CROATIA´S MOST VISITED DESTINATIONDubrovnik was a city-state that once rivalled Venice in wealth and power. It reached its apogee during the 15th century and attracted the finest sculptors and architects to adorn the city center in a Renaissance style. Dubrovnik’s walls are the most intact and impressive in the Adriatic and clearly head the long list of Dubrovnik’s sights. No wonder UNESCO named Dubrovnik a World Heritage Site!

FORTRESS LOVRIJENACIt was an essential fortification to the defense of the city from both ground and sea attacks. In order to prevent possible mutiny by the commander of the fortress, the walls facing the city are only 60 cm thick compared to those exposed to enemy fire which were 12m thick.

SHOPPING IN ISTANBULOld, new, exotic, mundane, antique, kitsch - shopping in Istanbul is all these things and more. Everyone knows about the Grand Bazaar with its 4000 shops, but in fact the entire area around it is shopping, shopping, shopping for blocks and blocks. 4000 shops is a mere fraction of the whole picture.

BLUE MOSQUEThe cascading domes and six slender minarets of the Sultan ahmet Mosque (popularly known as the Blue Mosque) dominate the skyline of Istanbul. One of the most notable features of the Blue Mosque is visible from far away: its six minarets. This is very unique, as most mosques have four, two or just one minaret.

Athens Rome

THE PARTHENONThe Acropolis and the Parthenon dominate Athens, and the most sightseeing-weary traveler will catch an enticing glimpse and be scrambling toward it before they know it. Even if there were no Parthenon, the Acropolis is worth the visit just for the magnificent view of Athens and the surrounding temples below.

WALKING ATHENS AT NIGHTAthens Greece is one of the safest capital cities in the entire world. While common sense is your best defense anywhere, statistically, you’re far safer on the streets of Athens at night than in London, Paris, or Tokyo. So get out there and enjoy yourself!

ARCHITECTURAL Few cities offer such variety. From the remains of its impe-rial glory days to the Renaissance and Baroque riches of its historic centre, Rome is a glorious architectural patchwork, a living masterpiece.

COLUSSEUMThe Colosseum is probably the most impressive building of the Roman empire. Originally known as the Flavian Amphitheater, it was the largest building of the era. With a controversial history, the scene of bloody gladiator fights still remains a great touristic site for history lovers all around the world.
