PART II: Information about the School’sProgramme The information of part II from no.1 to 13should be no longer than nine (9) pages long of A4 in total. The information should be written in Times New Roman font, 11-12 point size. 1. Title of the school’s programme

Think Smart, Eat Well, Live Healthily to Achieve the Bright Future for the Young Generation 2. Summary of the programme(one half-page of A4 sheet size)

The programme of nutrition and health promotion at Senior High School 2 Blorahass been done since 10 years ago.The process of our programme plan is translated in 3 steps, firstly, to build the mindset or understanding to residents of the school among others teachers,staffs and students about the importance of healthy life and enough nutrition through the curriculum integration,seminar,and inviting the competent institution,campaign and the socialization of healthy living both internal and external.Secondly,the habit activity which is required to be done to start the healthy lifestyles, for example:throwing rubbish on the right place,hand washing habit,the habituation of 5P anti snack,nosmoking,nodrug,bringing lunch “4 healthy 5 perfect,exercise,etc. Thirdly, through coaching,monitoring and follow up. School coaches the canteen in order to provide healthy facility and food. School coaches janitors. School coaches the residents of the school for the programme has been designed. It also coaches and evaluates for the success es and obstacles which is found. Then it takes the step as follow up from the evaluation which is done.

3. Background information or reasons why the school created this programme

Because the school activity at school is too solid, it makes the students forget for their health. Then, it is necessary the habituation of healthy and clean living . So it can prevent the disease attack. Sometimes the solid school activity makes the students forget the time their food need. So it is necessary the appeal to consume the nutritional foods which contain 4 healthy 5 perfect. If the students’ physical is also fulfilled, it can motivate the study spirit for students. 4. Objectives/goals of the programme

So that the residents of the school,teachers,staffs and especially students have the smart mindset about health and healthy life style to achieve the high achievement at school to prepare the smart, healthy future generations for our country both physical and mental so they can compete in the global level. 5. Period of the time when the programme was/has been started

The programme of nutrition and health improment has been done by Senior High School 2 Blora since 10 years ago. 6. Activities (Actions and strategies of implementation)

Actions (activities) and strategies done by our school to support the program of promoting health and nutrition can be categorized into 2 kinds: The first is to educate the students how important for the young generation to keep our health, and to understand how to keep our health (to think smart toward health), the second is to make the students get used to have healthy life styles, with their meals everyday and they activities (to eat and to live healthily). Both are aimed to make them achieve the

bright future. Some activities to make students think smart with their health, is the first we integrate the health education in our learning process, not only in intra curriculair but also in extra curriculair. ); In Intra curriculair we integrate the health education into all subjects, for examples, in Health and Physical Education, in which students are taught about the important topics of health, like nutrition, the danger of some substance (taster, sweetener, colourer, etc), and the danger of smoking, alcoholic drink, narcotics, the healthy life style.Also te students are tested with fitness check up periodically. The health and nutrition is also integrated in the learning process of Biology Subjects, students are taught how to make nutricious meals with great taste and free of dangerous substance. In cooking class students are also taught how to cook the nutritious meals with healthy process. In extra curriculair, health and nutritionn education is also given in some extracurriculair activities like in the PMR extracurricular (youth red cross) activity which is every year activity give the sosialization of material about health and nutrion, also through home industry extracurricular in which the students are taught how to create the healthy product of foods and rich in fiber. Besides in internal scope we also keep campaigning health and nutrition eduacation to external scope, by inviting some students from some schools in our town in a seminar, workshop, and discussion also in activities to make them aware the importance of health and nutrition for our life Some activities to internalize the healthy life style in the students’ life as a habit our school has done, are, among others , the first, processing the rubbish with what is called 3R (reduce, reuse and recycle the rubbish) we put the rubbish according to its types: leaves (organic), plastics, and papers, and then the rubbish is recycled. The second, we wash the hands before eating; bringing the own stock of food and water which fullfill the requirements of nutritious meals four healthy elements ( rice, side dish, and vegetable). The third, cycling to school for the students who live maximally 4 km from the school. The routine facilities which is provided by our school is the health officers from Society Health Office every two weeks for faciliting all scholl members who has health complaint with health check up periodecally. Also the routine socialization activity which is carried out by school with the cooperation with the public health office, IIWC, Alumni, although the other agency, like socialization activity about Stop Smoking, Say No to Drug, sexually transmitted disease, healthy life styles with enough sports and eating nutritious food. We hold such activities continuously and periodically during Mid-Semester activity, School Anniversary, during meetting parents activity. We also use our social media to campaing the importance of health and nutrition. The other activities we ofeten do dealing with health are blood donors, giving free glasses to the students who have troubles with their eyes, giving milk for the children in remote area in our town , also giving nutritious meals for the poors.

7. Teaching and learning approaches that the school applies for teaching “Improving Health and

Nutrition”

1. Implementation of learning for :

a. Intra Curriculair which is done in the learning, the example is Sport lesson(measurement the height of body, the weight of body, pulse periodically); Biology lesson, Biology lesson about the healthy nutrition and lifestyles, also Enterpreneurship lesson about the process of making nutritions food.

b. Extra Curriculair, through Scout extracurriculair, PMR (Youth Red Cross), PLH (Natural Environment Education), Home Industry, and others.

2. The approach which is used is by making the students, the schools members, and the society to really understand and knows smartly how to keep our body and sociaty and our environment healthy. Furtherly we make the healthy life styles as our habit at school and at home, by applying some continuous programs like providing healthy canteen with healthy food, many banners of promoting health, managing the rubbish with 3 R (reduce, reuse and recycle), the school cleaning activity everiday , and on Firday school environement cleaning, providing the dust bin with five classification, organic / leaves, plastics, papers, iron, and glass.

3. Learning with a special guest, for example by inviting the officers from the Policy Office to socialize the danger of drug, guest from public health office to give socialization about the

danger of cigarrate and HIV-Aids, and then from environmental services office to give socialization about healthy living environment, also from Sociaty Health Centre to give socialization about nutritious food and healthy life. From Envirenment-lovers community to socialize how to manage the rubbish smartly.

8. Related activities that the school has contributed to the community and shared school practices to

the community.

1. Social services in Jurang Jero village: distributing Al Qur’an, milk, and socializing health and the important of healthy lifestyles .

2. Giving nutritious food for takjil (break fasting) to people in need in commemorating Ramadhan month which is done for about the last two years, the kinds of takjil are rice with vegetables and green bean porridge.

3. Socialization about healthy life without cigarrete and drug, and alcoholic drinks. 4. Training the students from our school and the others about recycling organic and unorganic

rubbish with cooperation with the environment-loving community “Sekarsemi”. 5. Giving glasses assistance to the students who need it by cooperating with alumni and OPTICs. 6. Healthy cycling with all the society in or town to stimulate the society to love healthy lifet. 7. Socializing the students from some schools in our town about how to process the rubish with

3R (Reduce, Reuse and Recycle). 8. Giving assistance of clean water clean about 100 tanks tothe society who need it during

draught. 9. Dividing sacrificial meat to 1500 the poors. 10. Giving fruit plant assistance to the societyto stimulate the people to plant fruit plants in their

garden. 11. Sosialization of say no to drug. 12. Socialization of the danger of HIV with cooperation with IIWC.

Monitoring and evaluation mechanisms: - Doing the routine meeting and monitoring every day to cleaners and the other workers on duty. - Evaluating monthly by headmaster,teachers and staffs - Monitoring and educating periodically the school canteen owners. - Monitoring the homeroom teachers to students in the clean Friday activity,waste sorting,

scheduling the cleanliness duty and hand washing habit with running water and appealing to bring the healthy packed meal from house

Summary of results: - The students do the clean and healthy life style so the health level increases - The result of monitoring is followed up and increased making the school clean - The school achieves the achievements,such as:Adiwiyata School (clean and beautiful school) in

National Level and the first champion of Energy-Efficient school in Province level - Many students achieve the championships in the field of sport and academic.

12. Achievement from the school’s health and nutrition programme

1. The decreased malnourished students can be seen from the students who are absent because of

illness. 2. The fainted students decrease when they follow the flag ceremony 3. The sleepy students in the class decrease when they follow the lesson 4. The popularity of the school increases because the students achieve the achievement both academic

and sports.

13. Benefits/Impacts/positive outcomes of the programme to students, school and the wider community

a. Students The level of the student health increases. It can be proved by decreased sick students,seldomfainted,not sleepy in the lesson so the students’ achievement can increase. b. School To become a committed school always promote the nutrtion and health to accompany the students to achieve the maximum achievement. c. General public The public trust increases to our school by the fulfillment of the new students acceptance quota.

14. Plan for sustainability and plan for the future

Plan for sustainability: To continue and increase the school programme we will establish cooperation with more and various institutions and the other community. Also we will monitor, evaluate and better our programs by asking for the experts. Plan for the future: The programmes which have run or been done will be continued and improved and increased with more attractive programs and we will campaign to the people in the society, even out of our regency to care and how to spread out the life styles for the students and to all the society. 15.
