Love of the sea and the summer coastal

landscape is reflected in Sean’s original and

colourful work which marks this, his third

exhibition at Ceri Richards Gallery.

Sharing many similarities with our

own local coastline, Sean’s

paintings take inspiration from the Cornish

landscape, its fishing villages, harbours and beaches

which are then developed onto canvas

in his studio in St. Ives.

Sean studied graphics at Bournemouth and

Poole College of Art and after a successful

career in graphic design returned to painting.

This graphics background along with

an early passion for fine art helped to

develop his bold, unique style of contemporary

figurative painting which explores

shape and colour while sometimes

bordering on the abstract. Sean has exhibited

extensively and his paintings have been

purchased by collectors worldwide.
