Secret Paths Design by Johanna Lindahl / Mijo Crochet

Stitches used in this pattern: Ch -chain Sl st - slip stitch Sc - single crochet Hdc - half double crochet Dc - double crochet Tr - treble Fpdc - front post double crochet Bpdc - back post dc * Popkorn * Puff * Stitches marker with * are explained here. For this white and pink shawl I used the yarn Cotton Flower 200 g from Favoritgarner and hook 4.0 mm. You could use any yarn and just add or exclude rows, for example row 5-18 that is repeated, to make it the right size. Just make sure to end with a popcorn-row before making the edge.

Turn your work after each row Row 1: 4 ch, sl st in 1:st ch to form a ring. Row 2: 3 ch, 4 dc + 2 ch + 5 dc in ch-ring. Row 3: 3 ch, 2 dc in 1:st dc. 1 dc in every dc up to 2-ch-space. 2 dc + 2 ch + 2 dc in 2-ch-space. 1 dc in every dc. 3 dc in 3:rd ch in the beginning of previous row. Row 4: Repeat row 3. Row 5: 3 ch, 2 dc in 1:st dc. 1 fp dc in every dc up to 2-ch-space. 2 dc + 2 ch + 2 dc in 2-ch-space. 1 fpdc in every dc. 3 dc in 3:rd ch in the beginning of previous row. Row 6: 3 ch. 2 dc in 1:st dc. 1 bp dc in every dc up to 2-ch-space. 2 dc + 2 ch + 2 dc in 2-ch-space. 1 bpdc in every dc. 3 dc in 3:rd ch in the beginning of previous row. (1 ch, 1 popcorn in next dc, 1 ch, 1 dc in next dc) repeat up until last dc on the side. 1 ch, 1 popcorn + 2 ch + 1 popcorn in 2-ch-space. (1 ch, 1 dc in next dc, 1 ch, 1 popcorn in next dc) repeat up until last dc on the side. 1 ch, 1 dc + 1 ch + 1 dc in 3:rd ch in the beginning of previous row. Row 17: 4 ch, 1 dc in 1:st dc. (1 ch, 1 dc in next dc, 1 ch, 1 dc in next popcorn) repeat up until last popcorn on the side. 1 ch, 1 dc + 2 ch + 1 dc in 2-ch-space. (1 ch, 1 dc in next popcorn, 1 ch, 1 dc in next dc) repeat up until last dc on the side. 1 ch, 1 dc + 1 ch + 1 dc in 3:rd ch in the beginning of previous row. Row 18: Repeat row 8. You will now repeat previous rows and after that crochet the edge. If you need your shawl to be bigger, add rows here. Just be sure to end with a popcorn-row before you make the edge. The edge:

Row 1: 6 ch, 1 tr in 1:st dc. (1 tr + 2 ch + 1 tr in next dc) repeat up until last dc on the side. 1 tr + 2 ch +1 tr + 2 ch + 1 tr + 2 ch + 1 tr in 2-ch-space. (1 tr + 2 ch + 1 tr in next dc) repeat up until last dc on the side. 1 tr + 2 ch + 1 tr in 3:rd ch in the beginning of previous row. Row 2: 1 ch, 1 sc in 1:st tr. (1 sc + 1 puff + 1 sc in next 2-ch-space, 1 sc between next 2 tr) repeat up until last 2-ch-space of the side. In the tip’s 2-ch-space you crochet 1 hdc + 1 dc + 1 puff + 1 dc + 1 hdc. (1 sc + 1 puff + 1 sc in next 2-ch-space, 1 sc between next 2 tr) repeat until end of row. Finish of with 1 sc in 4:th ch in the beginning of previous row.
