Mostmagazines after purchasing a photo will make you sign a contract stating that you will not sell thephoto to any other magazines, newspaper, or news source.
To get your foot in the door you will most likely need a very outrageous photo such as describedabove in order to garner the attention of magazines and newspapers.
Simply obtain such an original photo and then you will be able to simply contact one of thesemagazines or newspapers by telephone and explain to them the details of your photo. Once thesehave been explained over the phone the newspaper or magazine will then tell you if they areinterested or not. If they are interested they will then ask you to present the photo to them. In doingthis always tell the buyer that you wish to meet with them in person. Never send the photo to themvia email or snail mail. Always meet with them in person when presenting the photograph.
This will help you avoid any issues that could arise. Always cover yourself in all your endeavors sothat your work is not stolen.
