These special current transformers can only be used in combination with a rating plug with rated current of In=630A or higher. These current transformers can also be used with the electronic trip unit ETU15B where the rated current is 630A or higher, without using a rating plug.

If an electronic trip unit with ground fault protection using summation of currents is used, note that in the case of single phase current through the power circuit breaker, protection only works with Ig=250A or higher. Either the parameter Ig must be chosen accordingly, or the electronic trip unit has to be permanently supplied with 24V DC.

Attention: The rating plug is to be given a label with the following text: "Fixed Rating Plug". There isalso an additional label to be attached to the front of the breaker which describes the above facts.

Current transformers for 3WL frame size II and labels:• For 3-pole 3WL frame size II, 3WL9111-0AA84-0AA0 has to be ordered 1 times• For 4-pole 3WL frame size II, 3WL9111-0AA87-0AA0 has to be ordered 1 times• Size 5 hexagon socket screw key/Allen key • Test device 3WL9111-0AT31-0AA0 or 3WL9111-0AT32-0AA0 The 7th and 8th digit of the Test Device serial number must be:

3WL9111-0AT31-0AA0 Test Device Release 1 06 or higher3WL9111-0AT32-0AA0 Test Device Release 2 04 or higher

The firmware version of the Test Device can be seen in the serial number. It is the 7th and 8th digit from right as shown in the following figures.• External power supply for the test device

1. For replacement work, the breaker must be placed on a proper working surface. Before starting the replacement work, make sure that the breaker is open and discharged.

2. Lay the breaker on its right side.

3. Disassemble the cable duct cover:a) Place a finger in each of two holes in the middle row.b) Pull carefully and bend the cover slightly until it is dismounted.

NOTEThe breaker is heavy. If necessary ask a second person for support.

4. Remove the 3 screws from the rear cover of each current transformer and dismount all rear covers.

5. Unplug the connector of the current transformer from the connector of the breaker cable harness.

ATTENTIONOnly replace one current transformer at a time to ensure the correct wiring assignment.

NOTEUnlock the arrestor hook on the current transformer connector to disconnect the contact.

6. Remove the original mounted current transformer.

7. Insert the new current transformer.

ATTENTIONMark all original mounted current transformers for identification reasons.Ensure that the original mounted current transformers will not be used in 3WL breakers.

ATTENTIONWhen inserting the new current transformer, make sure that the related wiring is free and will not be damaged when the current transformer is fixed into place.

8. Plug the connector of the breaker harness into the connector of the new current transformer.

9. Repeat Step 5 to Step 8 until all current transformers are replaced.10.Replace the covers of the current transformers and fix each one with the 3 screws.

ATTENTIONEnsure that the arrestor hook is in locked position after the connectors have been plugged together.

CAUTIONWhen using self-tapping screws, take care not to damage existing threads!

Tightening the screw:- Insert screw- Rotate the screw counter-clockwise by hand until the thread fits- Tighten by hand till snug- Tighten to a torque of 5 Nm using the tool

11. Assemble the cable duct cover:a) Place the cable duct cover in the notch inside the breaker housing located on the side towards the front cover.b) Push carefully and bend cover slightly until it fits in both (front and rear) breaker housing notches.c) The cover must be easily moveable within the notches when mounted correctly.

12.Place the breaker back on its feet.13.Place labels on the trip unit and breaker front.

14. Test the current transformers according to 3WL circuit breaker operating instructions --> (page 9-126)

To test the current sensors and energy transformers, press the “START” button for less than two seconds.A lit-up LED confirms the proper operation of the corresponding transformer.If an LED flashes, the corresponding transformer/transducer is not available, not properly connected or defective.The test device is supplied by 220 ... 240 V or 110 ... 125 V AC, 50/60 Hz power system. The factory setting is 220 ... 240 V.

NOTEPlease observe the connecting sequence!Otherwise there may be false tripping and false results.

NOTEInformation about allowed harmonic currents:
