Who we are
The mission of the Clackamas Sunrise
Rotary family is to have fun while providing advantages, mainly for our youth – in our local community and throughout the world. This is accomplished by providing opportunity and support through educational tools, scholarships, training, mentoring and financial support.
Why participate? Sunrise Rotary Foundation, Inc. supports many community-based programs, including:• Putnam HS Senior Graduation
functions.• Monthly Recognition of a Put-
nam HS student who exempli-fies Service Above Self.
• Provide nearly 500 Dictionaries and Thesauruses to local 3rd Grade students.
• Character education with middle school students Using Rotary’s 4-Way Test.
• Winter coat Drive for Children in the Clackamas Area.
• Support “Battle of the Books” reading competition at Oak Grove, Riverside, and Bilquist Elementary.
• Provide a Santa Breakfast and Scholarships for Teen Parents in the PACE program.
• Provide Scholarships for HS Students Interested in a techni-cal careers.
On the global front:
Sunrise Rotary Foundation, Inc. Also supports water purification projects for underdeveloped nations, sending medical support teams to countries in need, shelter boxes for disaster relief and sponsoring international student exchange programs.
