September President’s Message: Happy September Members!! It is great to have college football on TV again. I love this time of the year when we start to get some relief from the heat of summer. This year it is extra special to me as I get to start off the active part of my term as your president. We have been collaborating and have the first couple of meetings planned out. On September 17th we will meet at the Airport Holiday Inn for a lunch meeting to hear what is going on in Collier County with stormwater certifications from Jack Mckenna and Matt McLean. You can get more details on the website and later in this newsletter. Mark your calendars for October 13th for a lunch meeting where you will hear from some of our state representatives on what is going on in Tally. You should have received you renewals for FES membership last week via email. Please make sure to renew, to support FES and continue to join us at events. We really need to fill the position of our Ways and Means Director!!!! This position is primarily responsible for Casino Night, which raises money for our scholarships. Please email me if you are interested or spread the word. I am proud to announce that the Calusa Chapter has won two awards from State FES this year. We were awarded “Best Overall Award” and “1st Place Recruitment” in the Large Chapter Category. Thank you for making this happen! You can see these awards further along in the newsletter. I am looking forward to bringing you some great meetings this year and so let us know what you would like to hear about. Thank you, Brent Addison President
