1. AY vespers TONIGHT at 6:30 pm! Including baptismal service, and social fellowship after.

2. Today we select a pre-Nominating Committee by nominations from the floor. Place your recommendations of ONE individual to serve on the pre-Nominating Committee which will select the Nominating Committee for the church leadership in 2013.

3. Pathfinders Club meeting tomorrow at 10 am. We are starting new classes for the 2012-2013 school year. Club meets from 10 am to noon. Its goal is to provide for balanced spiritual, emotional and physical development of children and youth.

4. We started Dr. Neil Nedley's “Depression the Way Out” seminar with 15 people. Seminars are taking place in the evening from 7:00 to 9:00 PM. 5. Pastor Alex and Sandra Golovenko will be away October 5 -15, conducting Evangelistic meetings in Minneapolis, MN. Keep them in prayer.

6. Next School of Evangelism class will take place at our church on October 14. Class will begin at 10:00 am and will continue to 4:30. Lunch break from 12:30 to 1:30 pm. Class will be taught by pastor James Rooney and focus on Public presentations and witnessing. All preachers, elders and leaders are encouraged to attend.

7. Next Elders meeting will take place Monday, October 15 at 6:00 pm at the church

8. Next Church Board meeting will take place Monday, October 15 at 7 pm at the fellowship hall. Please provide your agenda items to pastor Alex Golovenko, first elder Clara Baptiste or church Clerk Janice Brindley. Planning goals for 2013 and beyond will be on the agenda.

9. All are invited! Sahel Crisis fundraiser. Sub-Saharan Africa ADRA project benefit is organized on October 20.

11AM: Elder Solomon Maphosa, the Executive Secretary of the South-African Division of the General Conference of Seventh-day Adventists is speaking at the Glen Cairn School located at 53 Frontenac Road, London, Ontario. Meeting will begin at 11 am. The music for the day will be ministered by the Toronto West Adventist Choir. It is our opportunity to invite friends, neighbours, community to share our hope in Second Coming of Christ, and share about the work of our church.

5:30 PM: ADRA benefit concert is hosted at the Glen Cairn School (53 Frontenac Road, London, Ontario). The concert will begin with Dimitar Kolev. After dinner singer, recording artist, ADRA ambassador, Naomi Striemer will share about ADRA Africa and do a live concert. Tickets

are $20 for adults. Children under 12 are $5. All the proceeds will go to ADRA Sahel project. Tickets could be purchased through Community Service department. Contact Teresa Ferreira. Collection will also be taken at the concert after presenting Sahel Crisis video.

10. The next general potluck will be on Sabbath, October 20th at the Glen Cairn School. We do not have use of the kitchen at the school, so we will have a menu of soup, sandwiches, cookies, and juice for the potluck. Those who are bringing soup, please bring it in a slow cooker if possible. We are expecting over 160 guests that day, so please bring lots of extra food.

11. Next Sabbath School Rally will take place October 27 on the topic “What Salvation means” The Sabbath School Rally will begin at 9:30 am and the program will continue until 12:30 pm. There will be no preaching session. Ample opportunity would be given to all ages to participate and share in the Sabbath Bible Study experience.

12. Mark your calendars for October 27th for the second annual Hayseed Dinner and games fundraiser for our ACES church school. We will be selling tickets for the lasagna dinner and games to follow. We had a great time at this event last year, please plan to attend for a wonderful evening of food and fellowship with our students and all the London church family. More information to follow.

15. Dear ladies, Summer is nearly gone, and Fall beautiful Fall is here, the children are back to school and so the last Sunday of the month belong to US--LADIES. At 9 o'clock (every last Sunday in the month) we are getting together for b/fast discussion and prayer.Our teenagers are most welcome to come, until the end of the year we will be watching and discussing Mark Gungor's Butt Kicking Woman. This is a most interesting film. Come as we enjoy breakfast, a discussion and prayer, hoping this will enhance our walk with our Lord. Looking forward to see you.

16. Don Segee passed away Friday morning. The memorial servicewill be held Wednesday at 2 pm at the Woodstock SDA church with luncheon to follow at Dino’s dining lounge located at 510 Dundas Street, Woodstock.

Pray for Zambia & Zimbabwe, and for all the world For a whole year we had prayed, day by day, for different

countries of the world. As you read, prayed, watched video clips in

church, reflected on the vastness of the mission field for the Gospel,

you have developed your own personal experiences. Some are

saddened that we will not continue this emphasis of reminding you of

new countries. Some told me that they kept the whole year stock of

bulletins or newsletters and will follow the same calendar again,

“reusing” the cycle of prayer. Do what you may, but continue praying

for the world harvest. There are 13 Regions (Divisions) of Adventist

Church including North America. May I suggest that we should

continually pray for our “home mission field” – North America, and

take other 12 Divisions and pray for them in addition every month:

January – Inter-America (Caribbean & Central America)

February – South America

March – East Central Africa (from Ethiopia to Congo & Tanzania)

April – Euro Africa (Germany to Spain, Italy, Libya, Algeria, Turkey, Iraq)

May – Southern Africa & Indian Ocean (from Angola to Madagascar) June – Trans European (from England & Scandinavia to Sudan and Arabia)

July – West Central Africa

August – Euro Asia (Russia, former Soviet republics & Afghanistan)

September – Northern Asia Pacific (China, Mongolia, Korea, Japan)

October – South Pacific (Australia, New Zealand, Papua NG, Polynesia)

November – Southern Asia (India & Tibetan countries)

December – Southern Asia Pacific (Philipines, Indonesia, Bangladesh to Vietnam)

Today we pray for Zambia and tomorrow for Zimbabwe. These

two countries have shared past history of British colonization,

formerly known as North & South Rhodesia. Zambia is a home to

Victoria Falls on Zambezi river, a place known by the work of

Livingstone. Different ethnically (Zambia are 98% Bantu, Zimbabwe

70% Shona & 15% Ndebele) they developed difirently since

independence. Zambia was recognized as independent since 1964,

but the socialist regime led to poverty. Zimbabwe is in the worst

possible economic situation with massive inflation, no employment,

and political dictatorship of Mugabe since independence in 1980.

Pray for recovery of living conditions.

Zambia has a large Catholic presence, whereas Zimbabwe is

mostly independent Protestant. Both countries struggle with similar

problem – AIDS, 25% of all adults carry the virus and about 80% of

hospital patients have it. Pastoral work is dominated by funerals, and

churches are taking care of orphans. As churches grow rapidly the

greatest need is for mature leadership of integrity. In spite of

difficulties, today these two countries have the highest saturation of

Seventh-day Adventists in Africa – 5 % of population.
