Parking Updates: We have been monitoring and managing the parking lot this summer due to one worship service. Thank you for your cooperation and following the lead of the parking attendants each week. We recognize that the parking area fills more quickly than the worship center. For safety purposes, we are making a few adjustments to the parking flow, including requesting all attendees enter the parking lot from the entrance near the bus garage. This enables us to safely and fully staff our Kids On The Rock program all summer long. Why 9:48? Kids On The Rock (KOTR): Parents, the last 3 numbers on your child's check-in tag will appear on the black box to the right of the main stage screen if your child needs you. !!Preschool: Key Question: Who made everything? Genesis 1:1-2:3. !K-5th: KOTR K-5th Grade is meeting all summer during the service (9:48am). Kids start out in the auditorium and then are dismissed to go to the Youth Group Room. ! Middle and High School Youth Groups: Thank you to those families who helped at the service projects this summer. Security Team: The Pastoral Care Elders have been talking about security and have worked with a team of individuals to develop polices and procedures for emergencies that may arise during a church service or ministry event. We are ready to recruit a team of 16-20 individuals who have experience in staying calm under pressure and have worked or are interested in safety and security to serve on this team beginning fall of 2016. Do you have a background or work in; security, law enforcement, first responder? There is a sign up sheet at the Info Table if you are interested in learning more, or contact one of the Pastoral Care Elders: Scott Robinson, Dale Norquist, Marv Hyder or Jeanne Maher. Others that have been a part of the discussion are: Todd VanderWall, Darryl Bell, Steve Wierenga and Don Hamilton. !

Facility Task Force Update: Thank you for your continued prayers for the facilities future of River Rock Church. We provided an update at the end of worship time last week. The FAQ and powerpoint used in that update were sent out this week via email and are also available on our website. Please join us in welcoming Dave Tuit to the team as the Capital Campaign Chairman. Facility Task Force members will be available in the lobby today to talk with or answer any questions. Task Force members are: Jon DenOuden, Jon Huizenga, Jeanne Maher, Don Porritt, Richard Spengler, Kelly Tuit, and Jeff Yonker. !Prayer Team: River Rock’s Prayer Team is looking for additional members. RU New Cafe: Are you new to River Rock Church? Have a question you'd like to ask? Make plans to join River Rock staff and board members for the RU New Cafe TODAY after the service in Room 108. Contact Jen DenOuden with any questions. !Outdoor Movie at River Rock this week!: Join us on Friday, August 12 to watch "Finding Nemo”. Come early and check out artifacts from the Grand Rapids Public Museum and learn more about their “Earth Explores” exhibit. All movies will play at dusk and are free to attend (concessions available at low cost). Bring a chair or blanket and a friend! !River Rock Festival: Save the date for August 21 for River Rock's Festival 2016 from 4-7pm. This outdoor event will include live music, food, inflatables, games, photo booth, pony rides and more! We are looking for volunteers and donations to help make festival a success. The date is not yet scheduled. Please pray for successful surgeries and comfort for both of them and their family. !Continue to pray for Lisa Bade as she receives treatment for breast cancer. Pray for peace of mind, comfort while healing, encouraging signs along the way, and for her family members as they support her.
