Why Feedback?
• Data is collected for action: all NTD stakeholders have action to take.
• Feedback increases long term commitment of all
stakeholders, avoiding tiredness and loss of interest in the long term
• Increase ownership of the program: when you (district, communities, department) understand NTDs as a problem in your locality/area, you will demand solutions for it.

Timing for Feedback
• When ?
– Don't delay sharing information

– Wherever possible, immediately after the activity – e.g. preliminary results from surveys
– Repeat before next round
– Also, schedule feedback purposefully (even in absence of major visible activities), to keep stakeholders and endemic communities informed

Session 10.7: Key messages
• Feedback is an essential element of an NTD programme
• District NTD managers or supervisors are responsible to provide feedback
• Stakeholders should know

- where to go next in terms of expectations and goals.
• Feedback is a useful tool for indicating
- whether the programme activities are in the right direction
- what changes are needed for improving programme
performance
