Ahmed leads the GE O&G Digital business in Asia Pacific, covering multiple business segments including Drilling, Subsea Systems, Turbomachinery and Downstream Solutions. In this role, his primary goal is to take Oil & Gas companies on a journey to operational excellence using digital and analytics technologies.

Ahmed has been with GE for 12 years. He held roles of increasing responsibilities in sales, supply chain and lean process improvement across the GE O&G portfolio of products. Over the last 3 years, Ahmed has been focusing on the Oil & Gas market in Asia Pacific, increasing automation and infusing technology to achieve financially optimized operations for GE’s customers.

Ahmed holds a BSc degree in Marine Engineering from Alexandria university. He is based in Perth- Australia.

GE Oil & GasMr. Pailin Chuchottaworn, Independent Committee for Education Reform and Chairman of Vidyasirimedhi Institute of Science and Technology Council and Chairman of Kamnoetvidya Science Academy Board, he completed his term of President and CEO of PTT Plc., the national oil and gas company in Thailand on Sep 9th, 2015. He acquired both Master and Doctorate degrees in chemical engineering from Tokyo Institute of Technology Japan with Japanese Government scholarship support. After graduating, he started his career as a technical and marketing senior executive at the National Petrochemical Plc. in 1985 and earned the highest position as the President of IRPC Public Company Limited in 2009 and in 2011 he was selected President & Chief Executive Officer of PTT Group.

Under his leadership, PTT Group’s businesses have grown significantly. PTT’s ranking in Fortune Global 500 has moved from below 100th to 81st in 2013, and this year PTT was ranked 93rd. PTT is currently the sole Thai company to be listed in Fortune 100 World’s largest Corporations list. PTT was listed three consecutive years in Dow Jones Sustainability Index in oil and gas sector.Additionally, PTT only Thai company listed in Newsweek Green Rankings. PTT was ranked in 111th as the world’s greenest companies in 2015 and ranked in 2nd in Energy sector. Further-more, he is the founder and chairman of Vidyasirimedhi Institute of Science and Technology (VISTEC), a soon to be a world’s leading technology research universityand the founder of Kamnoetvidya Science Academy (KVIS) where talented and gifted students can blossom and create something…truly ground-breaking for the world. He is building Thailand’s first ever Scientific Research University and a science high school in Rayong province.
