Setup / edit your Mail Account in Outlook 2007, English Version
1. Start Outlook 2007 and click on Tools Account Settings
2. Click New
If you already have your mail account installed you will see it listed here under “Name”. If so,
mark it and click Change. Now go to point 6 in this instruction to check your smtp settings
3. Mark Microsoft Exhange, POP3,IMAP or HTTP and click Next
4. Only Mark Manually configure server settings…. then Next
5. Mark Internet E‐mail
6. Fill in as seen on the next picture. Write your Name as it will appear in the “from” field when someone receive mail from you and write your e‐mail address.
Incoming mail server: mail.e-advice.dkOutgoing mail server: mail.e‐advice.dkWrite your user name (your email address again) and password
At the end click on à More Settings
7. Now we have to setup the Outgoing Server using SMTP Authentication
Click My Outgoing Server (SMTP) requires authentication
Click Logon using.
Write your email address and password again as a validation to use our SMTP Server
8. Change SMTP Port to 2225. All other settings are default. If you have a very slow Internet
Connection, you can set server timeout to 1minute or 2 minutes but only change this settings if you
have problems with server timeouts.
Click OK
9. Now you should test your settings. Click Test Account Settings
You should have 2 x Completed as Status. If you get this, everything is working correct.
Click Close
Click Next to complete the setup
If your text fails, Please go back and check that you have written your email address and password
correct. If you are not sure, try to logon webmail with the same details.
Also check that you have spelled the POP3 and SMTP server correct
Your mail account is now working
If you want to go back in to check your settings or if you just want to change the POP3/SMTP
Settings for your existing mail account in outlook you just do the following
Start Outlook Tools Account Settings and you will see your mail account on the list.
Just double click on it, and it will open the same settings as you will see from point 3 to the end
