SEVEC is very pleased to share this Resources Manual conceived around the theme of “Community Involve-ment”. It compliments the 3rd Edition of the SEVEC Community Involvement Program (SCIP) Manual and can be used alone or in support of a community project. Youth, Teachers and Community Reps alike will find it useful.

This compilation of resources is not intended as an inclusive list but it provides Canadian youth with tools that will help them deepen their community engagement, ensuring the success of their projects and empowering them to grow into healthy and effective community leaders.

Whether you choose to participate in long-term, short-term, national or international youth exchange programs, you will learn a new way of living; a great deal about yourself; and maybe even a new language. you’ll also be an ambassador, teaching people you meet about your com-munity, country, culture, and ideas. you can help bring Canada closer – and make some good friends in the process.
