Sexual Health Master Classes Cape Town – Vineyard Hotel Saturday November 2rd 2019 Sasha Western Cape is excited to be organising another programme of Sexual Health Master-class talks on 2th November 2019. After our very successful events of 2016, 2017 and 2018, we endeavour to bring to clinicians, high quality, salient education representing important topics in contemporary sexual health practice. This year we are responding to the unprecedented demand from Medical and other Health Practitioners for subjects that are mostly ignored and in our current culture and present very real challenges for our patients and their families. To this end we will be spending time focusing on the health of the transgender community including covering broad psychological contexts, adolescent and childhood considerations, endocrine and surgical aspects of transitioning and salient ethical issues. We will also be hosting two of the Western Cape’s foremost specialists in Infectious diseases who will be covering Sexually Transmitted diseases, a challenging and increasingly pressing problem in clinical practice. We are also very honoured to be welcoming Professor Andre Van Der Merwe, Head of the division of Urology at Stellenbosch University, and leader of the team who were the first in the world to carry out a successful penis transplant. We have in the last few years set a precedent for well organised, informative and entertaining educational programmes, and look forward to once again helping to provide a vital need in Sexual Health education within the Medical and allied Health professional community.
