CONCRETE MOUNT KIT (GMKC21) IN-GROUND FITTING KIT (GMKG21)

STEP 1 PreparationFinal installation should bedetermined by and professionallyinstalled by a license contractor.The in-ground fitting requiresbeing embedded within concreteper the diagram. The hole sizerecommended assumes theterrain is thick clay. Should theterrain be fine soil or sand, thehole size should be increased.Insert in-ground fitting and pourmixed concrete into hole aroundfitting. Make sure in-ground plate islevel. Note: Do not get slurry in thescrew threads. Either apply tapeover the holes on both sides of thefitting or place the stem bolts in thethreads and remove them when theconcrete is almost set.

STEP 2 Bolt Lower Internal StemOnce concrete has cured, alignlower internal stem to in-ground fitting holes. Insert (6) stem bolts and tighten using hexwrench to secure. Once attached, (2) countersunk holes on the lower internal stem willline up in the direction of the primary mast and boom.

STEP 3 Bolt Upper Internal StemSlide acetal ring over lower internal stem. Slide upper internal stem over lower internalstem. Bolt (4) locator screws and washers (included with umbrella) to lower stem.

VERY IMPORTANT: To achieve the exact desired position of the Galaxy canopy (when inthe open position or a perfectly symmetrical multiple Galaxy installation), it is imperative thatthe installation fitting be aligned correctly. Please follow the detailed instructions below.Note: To ensure the correct canopy position, make sure (2) of the tapped holes are lined upin the same direction as the desired primary mast and boom (see figure below).

STEP 1 Bolt Expansion Concrete AnchorsFinal installation hardware should bedetermined by and professionally installed bya license contractor. During installation, makesure all base plate holes align with the drilledholes in concrete. Clean out each hole of alldebris.

STEP 2 Bolt Base PlateSet base plate over drilled holes in concrete.Insert (6) expansion concrete bolt/anchorsthrough base plate and into the drilled holesin the concrete (tap the fastener lightly with ahammer to ensure they are seated correctly).Tighten all (6) expansion bolt/anchors completely.

STEP 3 Bolt Lower Internal StemAlign lower internal stem to base plate holes. Insert (6) stem bolts and tighten using hexwrench to secure. Once attached, (2) countersunk holes on the lower internal stem willline up in the direction of the primary mast and boom. If base plate is not set usingtapped holes for alignment, the internal stem will not line up properly.
