Shark Prop InstructionsSupplies*: • Two 10cm x 20cm blue foam insulation boards• Utility knife• Duct tape• Blue, red, and white paint• White foam board• Black construction paper• Glue• Scissors• Ruler

    1. Purchase two 10cm x 20cm blue foam insulation boards.

    2. Using a utility knife, cut one board exactly in half. (For safety purposes, we recommend wearing leather gloves when using the utility knife. Never leave the utility knife where children can pick it up.)

    3. Cut one of the resulting square pieces in half as shown.

  • 4. Put aside the remaining square piece for later. Attach the small rectangual pieces to the sides of the uncut board as shown. Tape in place.

    5. Project the outline found on page 4 onto the combined boards as shown. Trace the outline onto the boards.

    6. With a utility knife, carefully cut out the shape.

    7. Flip the shape over. If the board still has a protective pastic lining on the surface, peel it o completely before proceeding to the next step.

    8. Paint the surface to resemble the shark and waves pictured above.

    9. With a utility knife and ruler, cut six triangles out of white foam board. Flip the shark over once more to attach the teeth to the shark’s mouth with tape as shown.

  • 10. Cut out two large circles from the white foam board. Cut out two smaller circles from black construction paper and attach them to the white circles with glue, forming the eyes.

    11. Attach the eyes to the back of the shark’s head with tape.

    12. Cut the remaining square of foam in half as shown.

    13. Cut diagonally into the left side of each of the rectangles as shown. Make sure both pieces match.

    14. Cut a straight line from the top left corner to the bottom right corner, creating your two easels.

    15. Attach the easels to the back of the shark at a 90° angle. Secure the easels in place with tape. Your shark photo op should now be able to stand on its own.
