An Aledo High School student is in jail, sev-eral more are injured and four were killed fol-lowing a drunk driving accident at Timberland Lane and Creekwood Drive.

But everyone is fi ne.It was all just an act. A number of AHS students volunteered to

be a part of Shattered Dreams, a promotional act produced to DVD about the results and effects of drinking and driving.

“It was very intense being on that scene,”

junior Danielle Contreras said. “You would think it would be a lot of fun making this video, but it’s very real and serious.”

In the scenario, Contreras lost three liters of blood in her abdomen. Senior Phillip Webster was arrested and taken to the Parker County Jail. Kaitlin Ingle, a junior, died at the scene.

Even though everything was scripted, the three main characters felt differently.

“It was so real, I had to keep telling myself that it wasn’t,” Webster said. “It just hit me. All the emotions of going from ‘driving on the back roads from one party to the next and then…”

He claps his hands.“Two of my friends were dead.”
