CODE OF RESPONSIBII,ITY. Stay in control at all times by having at least one person accompany you. NO SOLO CAVING, HIKING, OR CAMPING !

. Stri out of closed areas and obey all signs and warnings. This includes the closed North 1/3 of the property (signs displayed).

. No alcohol or drugs and if you are impaired by these, you are not allowed on property.

. you must have sufficient physical dexterity, ability, and knowledge to safely climb, cave, or hike these soft gypsum 80 feet deep

rock canyons and crumbling cliffs.. Do not hunt, flsh, feed, provoke, or approach wildlife.. Adhere to general safety rules of Oklahoma State Parks as well as park rules displayed in main parking lot.

KNO\ry THE CODE . BE SAFETY CONSCIOUS . IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY.. The trails of the park are rough and demanding. Hiking or Caving always inspect your equipment and have extra flashlights.

. Hiking & Caving involves the risk of injury and you control the degree of risk by not exceeding your abilities.

. All visitors under age 16 are not allowed in the park unless accompanied by an adult.

YOU ASSUME THE RISK OF ANY INJURY THAT MAY OCCARWHEN USING THE PARK FACILITIES. LIABILITY OF

THE PARK FOR ANY INJARY OR'OSS 1S EXCLUDE BY THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF THIS AGREEMENT.

1. The undersigned does hereby release, discharge and shall hold SHORT CANYON PARK harmless, including its trustee, and

anyone else associated with it from any and all liability for any loss damage, expense or injury, including death, that I may suffer

or that my next of kin my suffer, as a result of my participation in hiking, caving, camping.

2. This ReleaseAgreement shall be effective and binding upon my heirs, next of kin, executors, administrators, assigns and

representatives, in the event of my death or incapacity.

3. This release agreement and any rights, duties and obligations as between the parties to this Release Agreement shall be governed

by and interpreted solely in accordance with the laws of the State of Oklahoma, and any litigation involving the parties to this

Release Agreement shall be brought solely within the State of Oklahoma.

ASSIJI\ITPTION OF R.ISKS

Injuries can be an common and expected part of hiking, caving, and backpacking in this rough, slippery, and crumbling

gypsum terrain. Other dangers may be domestic and wild animals including pack of coyote, bob cats, and even mountain lions. I

aiknowleOge these dangers and risks and accept the possibility of personal injury, death, property damage or loss resulting therefrom.

Waiver and release by Legal Guardian or ParentI hereby represent that I am the parent or legal guardian of the aforesaid SHORT CANYON PARK Visitor (who is under

age of78 years) and am authorized to execute this release. I do further agree and represent that: Caving, hiking, camping, and

kpacking on this rugged terrain is dangerous and that my visitor's is physically and mentally able to safely use this Park' I have

this document; and I voluntarily signed this Waiver and Release.

In consideration of said Person being allowed to use the SHORT CANYON PARK: I release Trustee of all liabilities due

any cause. This includes but not limited to the failure of the trustee to safeguard or protect me or under aged visitor from risks,

and hazards that are on this park property.
