The purpose of this courseThe Electricity at Work Regulations affecteveryone in employment in the UK. Theyapply to all places of work - shops, hotels,schools and colleges, hospitals, factories andcommercial premises of all kinds.

The purpose of this courseThis course is intended to provide anunderstanding of terminology, units ofmeasurement and basic electrical theory. It will be of particular benefit to those of anon-electrical background or with limitedelectrical knowledge. It will also serve as arefresher for those whose knowledge hasperhaps got a little rusty with passing time.

The purpose of this courseThis scheme is aimed at those with practicalexperience of inspection and testing of LVelectrical installations, who require tobecome certificated possibly for NICEICpurposes. It is not suitable for beginners(see One day Testing Course on page 9).

requirements of BS 7671:2001 forinspection, testing and certificationand guidance given in IEE GuidanceNote 3, Inspection & Testing; practicaldemonstrations and “hands-on”sessions; preparation for practicalassessment and written examination.

• A practical assessment of up to 4 hours’ duration, one to one with a qualified assessor.

The purpose of this courseThis new course is intended for managers andsupervisors with a non-electrical backgroundwho may have overall responsibilities relatingto electrical installations and equipment inwork premises.
